Stuff like that could send people insane.

Even worse than a game you like being canceled.

MNC part of Summer of Arcade!

    IGN:

Microsoft didn't mention Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) at all during its E3 2010 press conference today. But shortly after the conference concluded the company sent out a press release unveiling the lineup for the third annual Summer of Arcade promotion. This is the late-summer event when Microsoft releases its most promising XBLA games in consecutive weeks.

What can you look forward to this year? Castlevania: Harmony of Despair, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Limbo, and Monday Night Combat.

Summer of Arcade will begin next month.

Was that the news? Because we already knew MNC was set for a summer release date.

True, but being selected for the official Summer of Arcade is a big, big deal. There is incentive for gamers to pick up all the titles, which hopefully translates to more sales of MNC, and accelerates the availability of Pit Girl as a playable character skin for the Assassin. :D

I guess, But it doesn't mean anything for some people.

I will check out Castlevania and Hydro thunder 2 because I have played many Castlevania's and Hydro thunder 1, But I only really care about MNC and won't check out the rest.

And as for the Pit girl, It would be funny if playing as the Pit girl was a developer only character. lol that would make some people mad.

Man, smitty guessed and gave reason as to why he thought it would be a part of Summer of Arcade and even guessed that it would start sooner than the previous two years. I realize he didn't post it as his official guess for E3 but he was the first to propose the idea and I thought it was practically a given that it would be. If any single person should get it, I personally think it should be him. But you devs could be so generous and merciful as to reward more than one person.....well I can find not fault in that

They haven't even given a release date. They only revealed it as a Summer of Arcade title. It narrows it down to within the next two months, but still no specific release date has been given yet

When it is so close already I think it is big news. Still, I'm hoping it is the PC version that is announced.

Which week they release is just the icing on the much bigger cake of being involved in the Summer of Arcade promotion. Square/Eidos did a global corporate press release to announce their selection without including a release date. Summer of Arcade is a really big deal for Arcade Titles. Whether MNC is week 1 or week 5, being selected is what matters most.

I agree, I'm hoping they still have something to announce and the answer is not Summer of Arcade.

While it's not a "huge deal" for us (I think it is), having a game spotlighted by Microsoft and added into (essentially) a bundle is ENORMOUS for a developer. Especially one who hasn't released anything yet.
