I would like to get involved in them. Especially since I`ll be using my baby to cast some games.

Mot, the formation of a committee will help refs be more trained and to know what to do in all situations we can thank of. Castors that want to be TO's have that much more of a responsibility to be a showcase of fair decisions and making the calls.

On the rehost thing in the future I want it to be like only within first few minutes of game and a TO or official does not say anything but count mex. Its the job of a team to speak up and even more of the job of an official to listen, make the call, and have a rehost done.

The committee is not a governing body but a group of passionate individuals who just want better tournaments for all.

I think we need to do this before we have another tournament. That way we can have rules and guidelines so that we won't get into fights over the tournament matches.

Seems to be the main point of this thread and what Gandalf is doing.

Other than my own personal error of not knowing what a swiss tournament was I felt the tournament was run fine. Sorry for that by the way.

People stopping the whole tournament for x amount of time for whatever reason should disqualify them or the team. Not partner subs halfway through the tournament. I dont mean 5 or 10 mins mind you.

I don't think we need a committee just people that understand what is fair that can referee the game. Not asking people or waiting 3-5 minutes to decide so the other team can easily see what their plan was.

Agreed. The committee will not only need. Directors for making tournaments, officials for ref and help run them. We need casters to publicize the games to all the RTS community. We need sites to help us around the board to help us get a more organization based area to get them going. A need is also a group of players to talk about what they want and need from tournaments to be more fun

Organization is what I'm seeing we're all saying. We need to lay groundwork so that people can easily build/host/play/cast/ref/etc Official Community Tournaments(May seem like an oxymoron, but it's what we're doing).

I think the sooner we do this, the sooner we can hit up everything else(why wait when you can do it now). But the entire thing will have to be dynamic(at least partly) due to the dynamic nature of the game(beta=changes).

I understand it is kinda hard to gues how fair spawns are, but maybe the best way is to check them, count and then only say spawn = fair, or spawn = unfair, let the players themself decide if any want to use a rehost. Best way to do that is to delete the commander instandly i think. so if you actually have a bad spawn, it might be your opponent blowing up because he didn't like it :D. I think the players should blow the commander up in 1 minute after the referee say's its unfair or its not a rehost and you suicided your commander. This gives them time to think it trough.

I believe after that last tournament all with the spawn issue that it is a players job to announce if there spawns are bad or good. Not an officials. anyone playing PA should be a big boy and announce that there spawn is ****. because this game though is so random there is no such thing as a fair spawn...... Sooooooooooo I guess what i propsed to the committee and you mot might be the only way around it for the players. they can call rehosts on spawns but only twice each and if you run out of rehosts then suck it up. but in a planet with 3 or even 2 spawns for each contestant there should be a decent enough spawn. No rehosts and playing the game no madder what is another option on this front. Officials should never have to step into a game unless there is a disagreement between players imo. other then that they sit and watch and make sure other things are not bugged and the game runs smoothly.

This is a good idea for now untill the spawnpoint gets improved on.
