4.24.13 fully set. Thanks to those who left comments. I will always respond to my comments if prompted. Just from showing some old friends the videos I have one buddy looking to try out the game today. Anyone else with friends possibly interested in a different style of game should show them mine, randomtoon, and gunked's videos.

On that note, if anyone has friends that want to play but are worried that they will suck, just show them my videos. Seriously, if I can do PM's over and over again, anyone can...and as average as my game play may be it is WAY better than when I started. I think I went 0 and 10 in my first PM playing default sniper...I had never played sniper except messing around with SMG until that night and didn't even know how to use traps or flak properly.

Speaking of sniper; Chron, I really liked watched your sniper videos more than the assault. Your approach to sniper is very different than mine and gave me a couple of ideas I am going to try.

I'm glad u like the sniper videos. In a nutshell my approach to sniper is always be moving, even if in a small area, just to keep the opponent guessing. An ice trap in a random spot is better than sitting on an ice trap, and if your flak is ready for more than 5 seconds you aren't using it enough. Shoot anything that moves, people, bots, anything. I'm also occasionally patient with my next shot rather than slamming as fast as possible, even though I use gold rate.

Confidence in my shot allows me to be fairly aggressive, and handle counterclasses better. If you flak and start firing away at an assault that has you in their sights, or better yet not in their sights, it will get in their head and bother them. If you can keep an assault in check with sniper, you're doing well

I've always tried explaining my mindset and approach with all the classss, but a visual helps I'm sure. If people want to suggest different builds on different classes to see how they pan out for me in PMs (reasonable builds, not troll ones) message me with some thought on the build and I'll see what I can do

First off, it was fun getting back into these the last two nights. Two nights ago being slightly better than last night just in terms of match atmosphere.

It was the first time I was clawing in maybe 3 or so months and my aim was really shaky. Also I wasn't sure if it was your host or my connection but I was dropping so many bullets. After last night's games, I'm going with my connection. I was complaining all night that my duals felt like a battle rifle and was just burst firing.

I still don't really like playing gunner, but I don't mind being forced to play it if the overall lobby isn't completely top tier, or we're playing off classes.


A commentary over each class would help a lot of people out imo. There are some people on other sites asking if MNC is still alive and they want to play, but know the entry level is rather high.


BTW I was waiting for you to upload game 3. I wish LP didn't drop, since I felt that was a pretty good game with you guys dominating the slaying in the beginning, then we sorta trade off for map control and it was a pretty back and forth game.

That game 3 is uploaded. The night prior was better in general because less lagouts and quitters. Nobody likes playing gunner because your just a big fat juice target lol when I learn how to il commentate over some videos.
If you or anyone else knows forums or people on the fence about getting MNC show them these videos. I already got one friend who I've played a variety of games with over the last 8-9 years to get MNC after being interested from my videos. Most people don't even know about this gem of an arcade game so the more people reached the better our chances of new blood

Good thinking, I would even go as far as to label that sniper video as "OFF HOST" because I actually forgot LP hosted it.

My gunner's decent but it's just not my favorite or best class. I often just play it since nobody else will, even when I draft people specifically for their gunners lol. Gunked ended up forcing OnTheNightShift onto gunner instead of sniper, something that would have been very beneficial the other way around.

NightShift put up good numbers, and he played pretty passively gathering a lot of juice. He ended up utilizing it pretty well and I really think if with just a bit of guidance he can learn how to trap after his juice pushes. A lot of times he'd clear house then fall back, but I was still impressed with his shot.

We didn't have many "happyface" award winners in the lobby. There wasn't that much bashing except for a couple of comments. Skill was his usual "I'll teach ya how to play smelly" self. Shammas and him were going back and forth, and although I found it funny, it carried out for a looooooooooooooong time. I heard others complaining about it and how they just wanted to start the game.


I'm doing this BTB tournament for Halo 4 just for shits and giggles. There's a thread on a Halo site where people talk about various games and have teams for Murder Miners, League Play in Blops2, and BTB for the upcoming Halo tournament. Some of them even played in the last shadowrun tournament..

I'm gonna play with them some more in some other games and see if any of them are worth a damn, and try to bring em on in. No promises, since i've had old halo friends pretty much promise they were gonna play and then disappear.

I actually seemed to have a slightly better connection on LP's host rather than Skill's, but neither were that amazing.

The 4.24.13 playlist is in opposite chronological order. If you autoplay the list it goes from game 8 to game 1, instead of the other way around.

When I move into my house in about a month I'm getting Verizon Fios Quantum so il host again if people want. I really just can't stand setting up the lobbies, but people who host know I'm still good for finding 1-2 people if we hit the wall around 10 interested players.

Back and forth banter is always funny if its the vets are doing it, but when it goes on for like five straight mins that's so frustrating to the lobby host who can't get anything done because people won't stop talking, especially if you have newer people whom you are making a bad impression of PMs on. I personally think that and other random chatter is hilarious but there are always at least a small handful of people in the lobby who don't know or are disinterested in the personal rivalries and inside jokes that exist

Yeah I constantly heard headcase just sighing and asking if we can just start the game and shut up with the trash talk. Ironically, I'm DIGGING through this site finding the old lists for PM's. I came across multiple posts from headcase conveying the idea that PM's are fun and a good source of competition, but the Vet's have bad attitudes and get very angry.

I have a feeling he's on his last leg of caring about this bullshit.

I wouldn't say that, headcase more than others is kind of a new day clean slate person. He just has to be in the mood and isn't fond of waiting to fill the lobby. Also it's usually his brother playing call of duty.

I played MNC for over a year on a SD TV. I bought a HD TV with an IPS panel and being quite sensitive to input lag after gaming on a SD TV and PC for well over a decade I had a hard time trying to distinguish the lag between my old SD TV and HD TV. If anything, it slightly improved my game because I could make out animations easier and see timers and the in game clocks from across the map. Or you could always go one more step and just buy a gaming monitor. Either way, I think it's worth upgrading if you're going to keep posting videos.

I mean I have an HDTV I play other games on and plan to record on: GoME, NHL, FIFA, Trials. I'm just more comfortable on standard def with MNC. In the near future I'm buying a gaming PC and who knows what else, I've got a nice bit saved up to splurge when I move in

Just put some footage up of mine & my friends NHL13 April playoffs run. Two good games up, a third being processed, and the fourth will be up in a couple hours. I play an enforcer and basically just run around killing people. The games are intense, especially the first two combining for five overtime periods, and the first one ends dramaically

Glad you have some of these up - YouTube has started to clip my videos for some reason - some of the ones that were full videos are being trimmed down, and losing sound. I go back a couple of hours later, and it is fine again. Then it breaks for a while...I hate YouTube...
