    You don't have direct control over a tac missile.

    Why don't you use the proper quote function?


    Are they not fast enough to outrun a commander?

    Depends on the scenario, as there are many ways to ourrun a faster opponent.

    We can't just consider the base stats as player ability and strategy really screw with pure stats.

    Ok but in a straight on "oh no bomb-bots run away!" scenario, can the bots still catch the commander?

    Well yeah, but the commander will be shooting, and if he has power for a uber cannon shot...well like I said variables.

    Not that would be a problem for most games as cannon fodder meat shields flow out of you bases to take a bomb bot hit.

    You haven't answered the question. Are you a politician?

    A bomb-bot and a commander decide to have a friendly race, first one to the metal extractor wins. They are racing on a salt flat and both start 500m from the extractor. Who wins?

    The boom wins by a long shot.

    But as I have stated, that base comparison doesn't account for much of anything to be telling at all. So I don't understand the significance.

    WAT. Select launcher, click target, whoooosh.

    Unit cannons will give the exact same behavior.
    Ideas shouldn't be handled on a personal level. That way lies failure.

    Who would have thought that a mobile bomb could be less effective against a target that runs away?

    The TA Commander was basically immune to bomb bots. D-gun takes care of any lethal close range unit. The PA Comm is absurdly weaker against assault bots, because its stats are weighted against mid range bots for some reason. But as I have said many times before:

    Any issues against a Commander are the Commander's fault. Design a dumb Commander, and dumb things are going to happen.

    I still think they should have a long jump/latch on ability.

    I think it's the best name ever.

    Also, ever dropped 100+ of these guys on somebody's comm? It the best thing ever to watch them get closer and closer until they kill it.
