I never implied we all live in America, or that the year was shitty for just Americans. Did you ignore the terrorist attacks in Germany, and France? When we say 2016 was a bad year we obviously aren't talking in the grand scheme of the past century or millennium. It's the past 5, 10 years. Stop trying to be edgy.
I'd be curious to see numbers on terror attacks/gun related deaths. There have been years where it was the best yet and people talked about how common they were because of sensationalist news shoving it down our throats. I was away for most of this year and my google fu is only getting stats for 2015 so I have no idea how bad it was.
