    Don't let them kill your aa or build hummingbirds. If anything this adds to the game. More units have a purpose and we slightly hamper the Swiss Army knife ant.

    The balance here is nowhere near where we want it to be.

    I do like inter-layer battles personally but there are a lot of little details we have to get nailed down if we want them to work properly. Anyone bashing us for turning that off at this point is being silly.

    (sorry, couldn't resist :p )

    On a more serious note, I'm quite curious how you'll tackle UI issues for orbital units as I can't really see a way to control them smoothly without additional and seperate UI systems. :confused:

    A bit more on topic. All air units got about a 10x increase in health, which is good. The AA vehicle got a 5x increase in damage. Before this patch it was pretty useless compared to fighters and now it got indirectly nerfed by half... typo? And if no... what was the thought behind that? o_O

    Also, my power went off... and on, and back off... and on, and back of... I took a nap, now lets try again.

    Honestly, earlier was the longest I have played this game. As in longer than the accumulated time between yesterday and alpha start. I am lucky to have backed it but didn't hit it hard or early. First because of obtaining a computer, second because I mainly just checked the feel of updates to game.

    The game has more bugs than ever, but when those smooth down the game will feel more whole and playable in and of itself. Dat trailer and beta welcome video both kicked *** too. You really can say you got this somewhere awefully fast.

    And new build - 54412, I'll roll that into here as well.
    In addition to the build notes, the following changes were made:
    • Connect to game screen now shows BETA instead of ALPHA
    • Transition text changed (moving_to_lobby now MOVING TO LOBBY, etc.)
    • SIMULATION TERMINATED changed to LOST CONNECTION TO SERVER

    Inter-layer battles are not the problem, the problem is having a hard-counter unit like the tank, being also a soft counter to everything else. It stops you needing to build other hard-counter units like spinners. I know people hate the terms hard-counter, and somehow relate it to rock-paper-scissors, but they exist, and it wouldnt be good game design if rock also had a chance to beat paper outright.

    @TheTrophySystem, people are not going to be able to take the time to target spinners so that bombers can take them out. Just saying that is silly, its hard enough currently to justify taking the time to target fire levellers in an ant army, and your talking about a unit that can be easily spammed into an army? Stop trying to remove unit diversity and just build damn AA.
