Your paying for your hydro and you bought the game... theres other boosters out there who have done it LONG LONG LONG long before you and no one ever mentions them due to forum friendships.

BTW: You can get alot of earnings playing bot killing classes rather then slaying. How do you think my rank justifies myself and I don't boost.

Why pick on one person if theres over 50 others who do the same and make it quite obvious?

Who are the 50 other boosters you're referring to? And MLG is the first one that admitted to doing it. So...go after the nebulous "50 other boosters" or the admitted booster?

There are a lot of people who play a lot, and play legit, to EARN their rank. They don't sit and leave their machine on or boost in split screen privates in order to get a pretty bot symbol next to their name. Can you imagine why some people may be upset at boosters?

Theres people who have hacked and modded the game to earn their rank above the top spot and have been reset/banned. Theres more people who boost other then mlg and have admitted to it and done it in the past and no one has made a big deal out of it since alot of forum people are FRIENDS with these players.

For someone whos ranked in the top 20 and is never online/away but has high weekly top ranks is an obvious booster.

Dbowill is one of the main causes for boosting since he spread the word on how to do it and has openly taught others how he did it. Why not start with him and work your way down the others rather then pick on one person. Just because he has admitted to doing it doesn't mean the others should get away with it either.

Boosting in this game just sounds so silly to me :lol:
But if people want to why not. Infinity Ward or Treyarch never removed boosters or hackers from the leaderboards in CoD4, WaW or MW2. I used to be in a WaW Dom/HQ clan and nearly all of us were in the top 20 for both. People used to boost that game so ******* much you have no idea. Clans were made to boost. People would hold 24 hour lobbies to boost and it pissed me off. Then I kind of calmed and realised, hey. That player can say "I'm #1 and I boosted to get here", Where I can say "Hey I'm #4 or whatever but the people above me boost so I know I'm #1".
Just ignore it. People can do what they want.

Uber's response would be something like Eka's to the gapshot blocking thread.

"If you want to stand in front of a robot all game, go ahead."

For this:
"If you want to play privates by yourself all day, go ahead".

Your correct.. its happened in other big games along with saints row 1.
If you modded the game then your messing with it. Boosting while being wrong is still fair because your doing something the game allows you to do to increase their rank.
The leaderboards are plagued with boosters/modders no matter what you do. Go cry to microsoft since they are supposed to enforce their polocies.

I have done nothing wrong or against the rules. You show me where it says leaving your xbox on in private matches is against the rules and i will give you a special prize same think i got you last year but in pink.

He means that if you're that high because you cheat (oh sorry I mean you leave your Xbox on while you're away), it wouldn't give you that much satisfaction of actually earning it.

OK, so you and I have a competition. We agree that whoever builds the highest wall over the course of a week wins a big slice of delicious sponge cake. Both of us are busy people, so we can't spend our entire time building. However, you decide to get a friend of yours to build the wall when you aren't able to. He's not particularly good at wall-building, but he keeps it ticking over, and by the time the week is out your wall is twice the size of mine. I know I built a pretty sweet wall, and everyone knows your friend helped you, but you still have an undeserved big slice of delicious sponge cake.

"The wall" is your Bot rank/Leaderboard rank. The "friend" is leaving your Xbox running private games. The "big slice of delicious sponge cake" is having a Jackbot next to your name.

And THAT just won the game.

Dutch Guy, I think it's awesome that you are standing up to the guys who helped you build your team (more than once in 2 days)! I'm sorry that anyone should have to do that, but it really shows character.

Though I don't feel the need to boost or condone it since it's an amount of artificial money in a game, I don't think this should be such a big deal. It's upsetting that those of you who are proud with the number(lief, etc.) arent finding that everyone feels the same but I think it's better to know you can take solace in the fact that your score is legitimate and ignore that other people feel the need to up their score illegitimately. For what it's worth, though I don't like that one of my team does it, I dont think anyone is going to convince either side to change their ways. I respect lief a great deal because as a fellow assassin I have watched and played against him and strive to be on the same level. I think that respect from me and many of his fellow members of our community should be worth more than the number next to your name. I would hope others felt the same in respect.

Now, to find some dessert.

This is always the rather easy way out for folks who are doing something hinky...it's "not against the rules." No, but it's being a bad sport and basically gaming the system to falsely represent a standing that you didn't earn.

It's just a bunch of bs...so much of this over the past couple of days from MNCers:

1. "It's not against the rules, so I have no problem doing it. Who cares what others think...f*ck them."
2. "I hate when other people cheat/boost/exploit, but I'm find with doing it myself or if friends do it."

People need to grow some damn principles around here. No wonder why xbl is such a cesspool of douchebags, bottom feeders and cheaters.
