I see clutch passive as a more advanced technique that newbies should figure out. You have to leave something to the imagination.

Should I take that as a hint that you would like me to make such a tool?

I am a bit nervous about making it because Steam may think, Oh, this program is sending keystrokes to this game. It must be trying to cheat. BAN.
This has really been the main thing holding me back because the tool itself is pretty easy to make.

FYI my post was showing that he (yes he) already got his answer and that she (yes she) should stop wanting so much attention for it :p

Did you just refer to me using both he and she?
    What a freak.

Anyway I clearly said I would make it only if enough interest was shown (not going to make something for just one or two people).
    Thus:
#1: No one has any answers yet. 2 people said it would be nice, which is not enough.
#2: RaTcHeT302 bumped, but that does not mean he wanted me to make the tool. Maybe he or she wants Uber Entertainment to add better tips still.

My post was to clarify whether I should consider RaTcHeT302 as the 3rd person wanting such a tool. No one is seeking attention as far as I can tell.

If 3 or 4 people want it, I guess I can make it, but again I am nervous about Valve Anti-Cheat thinking it is a hack and getting banned.
Since VAC has a delay ban, I might have already released it before I get banned and then everyone using it will get banned too.
    Now you understand my hesitation?

If there is a way for Uber Entertainment to unban me if that happens, I will definitely make it.

Personally, i would use it (if i can), but would rather, you know, not get banned.

Perhaps we should PM an Uber employee, see if they can make it so you aren't banned and stuff. Or find out if it actually causes bans.

Why bother? You can make a script that does that in 10 minutes with AutoHotkey anyway, and there's no risk of getting banned. Plus, you could convert it to an .exe if you really wanted to give it to people to use.

AutoIT and AutoHotkey are too easily abused.
Change the text from, Use the C button to melee, to, b4b, and you just got yourself an instant clutch-passive.

My tool will allow custom strings but with features to prevent it from being used to cheat.
As for VAC, it should be up to server admins and Uber Entertainment themselves to update ban lists, so I am guessing I dont need to worry about being banned.
I have already sent them a PM asking about these issues and also asking if they have any others reasons to not want me to make it.
If they give the go I will make it when I have time.

You could obfuscate most of the script so that changing anything other than the output strings and key bindings would require more work than just learning how to create such a script from scratch.

Of course, an "instant clutch passive" script is absurdly easy to write anyway, aside from figuring out the necessary delays

Freak used to be my nickname :D, before i realised 100000000000000 other people have the same name on steam.

I was just trolin a bit :p. If you can make it it would be awesome, I would not use it. Well...maybe i could script stuff like " IM SO FRICKIN AWESOME" or "THANKS TO ME FOR VICTORY LATER" so I dont have to repeat it every round..... :ugeek:

    Technically you could.

Technical discussions aside, one of my plans to ensure it cant be used as a macro device is that you can provide your own strings, but they are chosen at random by my program (and no, hooking ::rand() will not help you to make it into a cheat).

I guess if you fill the text file full of taunts instead of tips, you would have your way taunting everyone instead of helping everyone. But you wouldnt get to decide which taunt you use each time you hit the hotkey.

well, presumably the program or script itself would handle opening the text box and sending it. As long as you don't allow the ESC key in the user strings, how could it be used for anything but sending text?

Besides, many of the things you could macro in the game (like skill upgrades) require delays in between actions
