I haven't done the maths, but I think the new cost is probably going to be [cost of building] + [cost of missile].
https://forums.uberent.com/threads/beta-build-58678.54860/#post-840264. @cwarner7264 is correct, the new cost is [old cost of building] + [cost of missile] Old Cost: 4500 Missile Cost: 17280 New Cost: 21780
Ah right. I didn't see your update earlier, you hadn't quite got that far. Wow. That's crap. It's still way better to ignore it and nuke the nuke.
I agree cheaper antinukes would be pretty okay I think as it a single antinuke by far cannot protect all your stuff anyway. So the attacker can just nuke something out of range of the anti.
That's because the serverside copy of the file hasn't been modified, so when the order is issued, the server uses it's own value of the spacing.
It's curious that it does use the server value though; since it's just issuing commands, as long as the server checks that the command is valid and doesn't accept buildings placed in bad spots then I don't see why it can't use the client-side value for the spacing.
What? The increase in price simply adds the cost of missile and silo together. Unless you have an argument that an empty solo and the related micromanagement of the first missile are useful, how is it a mistake? Let me take my shot at what you are arguing. It is a mistake that it isn't cheaper, because of balance. And that is a consideration. It just isn't relevant to the current fix, and in fact there are no negatives to the current fix. If you want to argue balance, it makes the scouting time for antinuke smaller, and gives the antinuke a edge on the nuke by coming with one in the chaimber while the nuke comes empty. Also, i second the addition of area build density with mouse scroll. Negative is it blocks zooming, but one can just zoom before they issue area build commands.
Id like to also add that I would love additional anti-nuke and nuke options to choose from. Please allow me a selection of flavours, and I'll tell you what tastes nice!
Because they suck balls. They sucked balls before because it's more sensible to build your own nuke and attack theirs then it does to build a unit with no offensive capability which can defend only a fraction of your base. The real kick in the testecles is that the "free" missile isn't free at all, it's part of the cost and thus the build time!
