the LAND icons dissapear this is supposed to useful in that at a certain point only orbital icons will be visible. unfortunately if you have no orbitals all you get is no icons.
Ok I just want to say that I've just loaded the game up for the first time in a couple days because I've had other prior engagements IRL, and holy smokes that is an absolute unbelievable performance increase in the system editor. I would drop down to 1-5 to 5-10 FPS just on a single planet using a radius size of 800, I've current got 3!!!!!!!! 800 radius sized planets and its STILL faster then what it was 2 days ago, that is just an absolute mega performance increase, whatever you're doing Uber! keep at it for sure, it still lags very badly when I have other planets in the background even when not animated. FPS with 3 planets now is roughly around 13-30FPS, flucturates DRAMATICLY but heres the thing, its smoother, by quite a bit, its not hanging for several seconds or pausing and I'm scrolling around the planet like it was 2 days ago... Zoomed out to the solar system I'm getting 14FPS and when i scroll around not too bad but slow though. FPS doens't change at all no matter how many planets I put I guess, just re-doing a new system with just a single 800 radius sized planet still net me the same FPS as it does with 3, only hangs a lil bit for the most part when I'm scrolling over cracks in the planets.. Everything set to uber except shadows which is on low, I'll go ahead and post my DxDiag for reference.
Ok, been finally playing some games against people now, and wow, its FUN. I still cant quite figure out the best mix of bots and tanks, but working on it. Im assuming that levelers will get nerfed at some point, because right now, well, they live up to their name maybe a bit too well. Balance related things aside, I did notice three things that seem more like bugs. Ill list them in order of severity. One, if you grab a vehicle fabber and tell it to start building something before it walks off the factory, it gains infinite build range. Two, if you set a unit on a non-ending command and then shift click an attack order on say, the enemy commander, you gain a permanent arrow pointing towards whatever unit you have the delayed attack order pointing towards. Three, bombers dont seem to have any RoF cap aside from the ammo bar. So if you have multiple buildings in a row and queue up attack orders on each sequentially (and the buildings die in one hit) your bombers will fire constantly. That in and of itself seems ok, but here is the broken part- even if it isnt a unit that will die in one hit, if you wait until the instant a bomber has dropped its bomb and issue a new attack order to the unit/building right behind it, it will drop another bomb instantly. This can lead to two bombers killing just about anything in a single pass, including coms.
Why has everyone not hit LIKE on this post! Most pathing issues fixed? give me a hell yeah! that was the big issue, sending out units only to go baby sit and micro them around a power plant and re setting its que again because I had to move it manually Plus better lobby options is awesome! Garat, 1) i have asked for this many times across the forums but never got a definitive answer : Have Uber gurus planned to improve Aircraft fighters trajectories so that it looks like as realistic as Bomber trajectories are ? 2) What Uber consider as being pathfinding issues to be reported ? Do i have to consider that having all units walking along and toward the coast of a piece of water instead of walking along and not toward the coast as being a pathfinding bug ? Thanks, the game is just getting more and more fun. Being able to play and watching all planets moving around is just some kind of epic ... a huge step forward in epicness when comparing to supcom
Good news: The black-planet texture issue is fixed for me. However, something very strange happens: in-game features don't render, there are no trees, no rocks, not even metal spots. The weird thing is that in system editor everything is fine, the features do render there. Also, some strat icons seem to be missing? I have icons for factories an mex, but not for units and pgens for example. So I'm very happy you fixed the texture glitch, but now there are a bunch of new rendering bugs?
Hi Uber, i only have one minor bug In system editor i cannot name planets 90% of the time. I rename them and click save, but they just return to their original/random name. That was all. This isn't important but yesterday my friend and I played the game, for such a long time, the new update came out while we where playing it. It reminds me, you should make it easier to join your friends, at current state it is really kinda random, or am i wrong? plzz tell me
