Battles without micromanagement mode ?

    I was not talkink on a per unit basis. What you describe is exactly what i'm looking for.
    however i'm not sure popups is the best solution. I was much more think about some sort of tool bar in which i would have icons for each engaged squad, air/land/navy station. Then having a voice alert + Icon getting red (or any other column depending on what happened => could be green if assigned objective was complete and squad is waiting for new command).

    Then just by clicking on the icon, a popup window opens up (on top of main window, or screen gets splitted) so that i can deal with the situation in the new window. Another solution could be that when i click on the icon, the main window take me to the unit squad location so that i can quickly interract. But then i should be able to come back to my original position where i was managing the current stuff by just clicking on another icon.

    This mean there should be an easy solution to record what i consider as being my command center and of course i could change this command center position at any time.
