    Also sent.

You know, I think a tiny DLC shop might be in order for the game, considering how well 'freemium' has been working for games like League of Legends, and even TF2 more recently.

That way, bringing a new player into the game would be a potentially continuing revenue source.

I've wanted MNC to go free to play for months =P

It just takes a lot of effort to set that system up, and I don't even know how you do it through Steam.

I can only imagine how tough that would be o_O; Steam supports DLC (about the same way ps3 and x360 do) natively, but for a F2P DLC in-game shop, it'd be a pain. A potential money maker, though.

i'm kinda on the favoring side to this too but i won't actively support it due to a few things:

    - what do the customers who paid before get?
    - Uber would still need a steadier income source and from what it feels to me, it doesn't seem like the time and resources for f2p are ready
    - the system requirements are kind of too high for the free-to-play audience
    - what about the console version?
    - how will MNC f2p compete with TF2 f2p? doing so might cause the misconception of "a TF2 rip-off" to arise again maybe?

PS: if you happen to be going to PAX prime and they offer skin codes, get one for me plz :p

If it's DLC they could sell it in the Steam shop. Setting up a whole in-game shop seems like a lot of work unless you have loads of micro-transactions.

Spiral Knights is developed by like less than 10 people and they managed to integrate their freemium system rather flawlessly, it seems. I wouldn't think it would be too difficult.

However, all you can "collect" in MNC right now is skins. Any further expansion of this system down TF2's path before gameplay is fixed would garner a lot of hate from the community. Hell, it's one of the things some players hoped to escape with this game.

The player driven energy market is quite frankly the best I've seen as it promotes market knowledge and energy purchase.

I'd really like to not have the same aesthetic troubles with MNC. There should be more things to spend money on but indeed as Corducken noted the current flow of gameplay needs fixing.
