Balance Idea for Assault Bomb

    again, assassins feel assaults and tanks needs nerfs. snipers feel assault and assassins needs nerfs. gunners feel snipers and assassins need nerfs. assaults feel supports and gunners need nerfed.

    common assault players complain about the bunny hop hhgun on the support. proven fact.

    the only sketchy thing is that some gunners complain about assaults because they dont prespin. about that, i wish i could ask deadeye to come in here and explain all the troubles he has at outgunning any assaults at any range. flying around or not, any gunner that can aim correctly and has a clear shot or a shot with "right hand advantage" shouldnt have a problem if prespun.

    deadeye has A LOT of trouble against assaults, more so than any other class. the gunner is NOT a counter to the assault. get over it. assault has WAY more mobility, and he has bombs and charges.

    you probably think the assault isnt overpowered because your build sucks.

    I play as Assassin and I think the lunge grapple is a bit overpowered. I play Support and think the Firebase needs to be nerfhammered several times. As well as the shotgun. I play Sniper and laugh as I get kills from shooting my own bots. I think explosive rounds need to be severely nerfed.

    I think that invalidates that entire argument.

    i think the explosive rounds need nerfed only if assassin juice gets nerfed. i think the assault bomb does need a little something to keep them from being spammed, that i agree with, but why does everyone think its too hard to aim when the enemy moves? waa?

    Where the **** do you get these "facts"? Have you been going to the Gamefaqs forums to get them?

    Edit: In attempt to get this thread 100% back on track, consider the above rhetorical. I do have one thing to add. Much like what StarPilot87 said, make it similar to the Support's fire base regen. Once a bomb is out, it will begin regen but only half of the meter will fill up. Once the bomb is detonated, the rest of the meter will regen. That way if you need to use the bomb-jump, the meter will have already begun recharging once you drop the bomb. Hopefully it will be at least close to done with its cool down by the time you need it again.

    I think this idea is a nice way to add to the bomb skill.

    After the assault throws his bomb, I would assume that it would mean lvl 1 bomb will regenerate to 25%, lvl 2 bomb will regenerate to 50%, and lvl 3 bomb will regenerate to 75%.

    If so, I think that will be a nice balance to the skill, while keeping it's strength. It will help control the spam a little bit.

    i have already agreed something like this could be made to prevent bomb-spammers. i think it should just be like the firebase so your bomb DOESNT recharge as long as another bomb is out.

    but making it charge half-way or so, thats not a bad idea either. i think lvl 3 bomb charges enough to use out of a bomb jump already.

    The only class that complains about the Support is the "Whinest Class in the Game", aka Assassins. Assaults could care less about any class really..

    Assaults complaining about Support's bunny hop? lol. An agile class that can jump over a roof and fly to boot, complaining about the class with the weakest jump in the game... a proven fact? hahaha..

    Lol, as a support today, I confused an assault entering my base by making him fly around my firebase. He was trying to kill me, and then escape, but he didn't know where the firebase was shredding him from. He pretty much flew into it.

    I move my firebase (like any good support) from time to time, and overheal everything. Then, I watch SO much trouble with enemy assaults.

    I have also gotten pretty good against assaults as a tank. I just got to pick my fights and read the enemy right, and if anything i'll at least end up winning with a well-placed railgun shot in his fleeing ***.

    Thus, assaults could use some bomb-spam preventions, maybe make thier fly move them slower. I still think they are bad against supports, heavies, and overhealed heavies (support-hevy combos). They can't outdamage most things in the process of healing.

    THANK YOU!!! I love how difficult it is for people to comprehend that numbers is NOT what would be consider a weakness.
