I admire your efforts to say these players could keep pace with old, but it looks like we will just have to disagree.

Also on your ominoussatoshi note he was an old PM player involved in a ton back in the day as well and received zero votes for anything assassin and one class wonder related. Perhaps another point favoring my side of the argument.

Maybe we should do something that is crazy enough that it just might work: ask preference of players if they would like the more harsh constructive criticism style of the likes of Shammas, miracle, or myself and we will try to lean toward picking those players, and vice versa for players of a more laid back variety. I'm not saying who wants to get signed up to be lashed out on every PM, but just so we know what we are dealing with per person in terms of what they are looking for in a PM experience and how they respond to criticism

Edit: it is also fine to be neither and just looking to play PMs for the sake of playing PMs bc pubs can be boring

I think agreeing to disagree is totally acceptable; sorry for all the edits on my other post, it is kind of a bad day. Didn't know that about Satoshi, I grant it gives another point to your argument.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I know I can take it when directed my way, but I turn into everyones mom when people trash talk my team when they are on it...as long as they are ready for it, then I have no problem with it. I just don't want them blindsided.

I feel like I misread parts of this before my last posts. There are players with potential, perhaps. Many of these players are already high prestige/Jackbots tho so hopefully old habits die hard.

So far there are zero new assaults who lay the pressure on aggressively and take the fight to the opponent to create opportunities for their team. In fact LeadLP is probably the best new assault (compared to him mosly playing tank in past PMs). Maybe it's the fact he knows he's one of the best players in these matches and knows he has to carry most of the load, but he does what an assault is supposed to do. And yes I know LeadLP plays for fun more than anything, we all play because the game is fun, but you can also tell from toon's videos he wants to win as well. Amazing what confidence and aggression can do for a players performance, because those are the two things I've been trying to drive home since forever ago.

In all fairness, I edited that post about 12 times.

I agree about the assault and confidence part. That is in part why I am being such a bitch - not good for the confidence when people constantly come down on you. Giving people **** when you need them to remember to do the right thing is ok when they have gotten a chance to learn what the right thing is. Giving them **** when they don't know what to do just makes them play either defensive or reckless; neither of which the assault can do and hope to succeed.

I give you guys a ton of crap because you know better. I accept a ton because I know better myself. I give people some slack when they don't; and like you said, some of those guys are jackbots and been doing this a while so it will take longer to break back habits. Heck, I still take advice from you guys (like Shammas and me buying sprint 2 before cloak 2).

    It makes no sense..

I really can't understand this at all...

WHY THE **** ARE YOU GUYS TRYING TO FIND SOME SORT OF "GOOD" IN THE SHITTY ATTITUDE YOU'VE HAD IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF? because you're good, you've made other people better? Okay, indirectly if anything, and maybe a couple directly, but you know how many opportunities you guys fucked up?

Then the circle of life continues. You guys get insanely mad at a video game because someone isn't doing something in which you feel is up to par. Instead of fixing the problem, you make it worse by harassing the person to the point where they deem defending themselves isn't worth it, and neither is getting yelled at some kid who assumes they're 100% right. They no longer want to play with that person but chances are, 1/3 will be in the room or on their team. So what do they do? Pubs.

Instead of finding the positive in such a immature and shitty attitude, why not acknowledge the problems it's caused, and the players it turned away. Then work on controlling it and start realizing that these PM's feedle has going isn't going to be like the ones from months ago.

Feedle is recruiting and retaining a PM community, something you guys should try and do too.

This is coming from a guy who did just as much damage control talking to players whom you've guys turn red in the face and scream at, as I did writing walls of text to peachy and deadeye. Hope that puts some perspective on it.

Damage control? Teapot you more than anyone else would rage quit in the middle of private sessions because people wouldn't take it seriously, you would freak out if captains and teams weren't picked as soon as the lobby got set up if people were chatting joking talking etc, you would get all pissy if the teams wouldn't go the way they wanted, you would complain and quit if people on your team were having fun messing around, you would get pissy when H&S wanted to play together vs whoever was online, you did more bitching complaining pissing and moaning about everything and anything in private matches more than anyone else to the point if felt like we were playing with a middle aged woman in her menopause

Best part about your weekly appearance on the forums to criticize anything we do anymore on this game? You don't play and aren't a part of the community at all anymore. You've appeared offline for over a straight year and from a distance criticize everything people do with a pathetically weak sense of self righteousness and maturity, so how about you do yourself a favor and fvck off while the active community talks about the game

    How youse guys work?
double and tripple team the threats, leave the bots alone and let them get near your base...
Punch them and everyone sit on juice... when your about to die pop it to save yourself and kill as many people possible.
everyone hold juice and each one of you pop it at a time and repeat
Hell with the money ball just keep killing people because the ball is down
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is how youse guys play....
    Many will agree...

Also i find it funny beating a team in less then 5 minutes because they ignore bot pushing and with the right cordination the ball will never go back up.

I know youse guys feel going 55-2 on juice makes you special but beating someone and having you LOSE appear on their screen means the other team did their job in defeating you.

If your playing for a cash prize or any prize what gets you the money in a game of crossfire?

Its not going 42-2 and losing..

How can you judge players who have only been playing private matches for over a week who were nothing but regular pub players?

Smaug, mechro, major, scratchy, etc... this is their first taste and your judging them to players who have been playing since the game was released and have played on other teams before.

Headcase ring a bell??? One of the best supports in the game up pushed away from this game because of some jackass who can't keep his mouth shut.

How do you expect anyone to form a team or improve when you got nothing good to say about anyone but yourselves?

There was an interesting doctoral thesis done on video games, violence, and score. It involved a game called "Manhunt". Very interesting stuff, but I am not going to get into it here...

Suffice it to say that if the incentive to play exceptionally (i.e., huge score) is removed and you were left with only the same goal (i.e, victory) regardless of how you got it, people stop playing exceptionally and just choose the easiest path.

We all want to play, we all want to do better, we all want to have fun.
There are no teams, this is all thats left of players who want to play ...
you can either be part of it or try to kill it...

Not all players who play these privates know every class or succeed with every class.

Count the number of times I left mid game. ZERO. How many times do I quit out of a pre-game lobby? Probably a dozen? What's the cause? Circle Jerking Elitism that weighs the lobby down because nobody cares about balance or trying, but rather have fun through circle jerking rather than playing. Do I ever quit without addressing this? Nope. So you guys knew exactly what the cause was, and continue. Do you blame me for leaving? Do you blame all the others who don't want to play? As much as I thought all the circle jerking was gay, I endured it because I like competitive matches. There were so many others who couldn't endure it.

And no you're wrong. I get mad about the endless amount of circle jerking in pre-game lobbies that prevented teams from being picked. YOU COMPLAIN IN THIS SAME THREAD THAT ABOUT THE UNBEARABLE ANNOYANCE OF HOSTING AND WAITING FOR GAMES TO START. LMAO.

Ask anyone else that you don't get a hard on for in private chats. When would I complain about teams? When they WEREN'T BALANCED. Why? Because I liked having the most balanced teams for competitive play to make the lobbies better. So I apologize for trying to have balanced teams, or at least made it a concern. I'm sure we would have lasted a lot longer if I just shut up and let butt buddies stay together.

Who was probably the most active in getting H&S vs The rest of the world? Me and Wildman... So the more you talk the more you're grasping for straws.. getting more and more wrong along the way. I guess what you're referring to is playing together as a group against some of the weaker players possible, in which YES, I'd rather again have balanced teams then watch you guys get a hard on and claim to be the best by beating up people who never seemed like a threat.

Hell I was PART of the H&S vs the world who had CHOLLO on gunner, Lucky Slick on sniper, Spongebob support etc.. I'm sure we remember that now.

"You've appeared offline for over a straight year and from a distance criticize everything people do with a pathetically weak sense of self righteousness and maturity"

Don't get upset chron, unless you just lost in a private match or something. Me appearing offline and not playing in a private has nothing to do with calling out the actions of what I've witnessed for a year + through 3 specific people + a couple others along the way. It's funny that you think that though. You'd probably say differently if you saw all the constructive criticism and props I've given where it was due. They usually go in PM's for those that deserve them.

Let me clarify too. When I say damage control. I'm talking about the people you guys get red in the face for screaming at. Players who get ganged up on by your clique who are just there for fun but don't live up to the expectations of the high and mighty. Players who only will accept an invite when you shammas and miracle aren't there. I do damage control for the new players who like the game, not the veterans who know the ins and outs of the people.

So yeah please tell me more about how bad I was for the PM community lol.

Manhunt is one of my most favorite games up there with thrill kill for those type of games. While being very pyscotic and violent they develope and eireee feeling of what someones mind can do in certain cituations.

Also lets look at the types of players in mnc
    Ones who kill bots
    ones who kill pros
ones who need juice to kill pros
ones who turtle and run upon death
ones who don't care about death
    ones who want to win
ones who want to play as a team
ones who do best and carry a team
ones who are one class wonders
ones who can play multiple classes well
ones who benefit the team picking them
ones who are social and have a mic and make the game more interesting
ones who bash other players because this is how they were treated before
ones who compliment other players and try to help motivate others
ones who are top of the leaderboard
ones who need to exploit to win
ones who spawn bots to help them win
ones who are impossible to stop when the ball is down
ones who never miss their shots
ones who are impossible to kill
ones who excell at certain skills of certain pros
ones who panic when the ball is down
    ones who have map control
ones who have no idea whats going on with what they are supposed to do
ones with captains who pick even matchups
ones with captains who pick unever matchups
ones who want to troll people
ones who want to help improve people
ones who have played this game since launch
ones who have just started playing this game
ones who have never played private matches
ones who were on a competitive team
    ones who only play pubs
ones who have a mic and talk
ones who have no mic but can still hear you
ones who dont have a mic and cant hear anything
    etc...

As for me being a player whos played on an alternate account i know why others do it. Your left with a new identity and people don't go out of their way to kill you since your a marked target.

I will say that if it was not for Teapot, I would never have joined a PM.
I will say that if not for Teapot, I never would have returned after my second night.
I will also say that if not for everyone I played against, I never would have gotten as good (bad?) as I am now.

Funny, I tried reading this thread and so, so, so lost interest pages ago. It's fair to say that the members of H&S are superior to just about any team that can be created from any past or present players. However, Tom and I did create a team that I feel stood a strong chance of taking at least a couple maps from them. I just regret never actually assembling and playing.

    Zatchmo
    Tom
    Lil bloo
    Skill
    Moneyshot
    and myself.

I truly thought that was going to be a great team. Ironically enough, that was when I got called back to work and lost a lot of play time. Sorry I never got a chance to play you guys. I think it would have been the most competition this community had to offer to H&S.

But please just remember as you're berating the new PM players, this is exactly the attitude that extinguished Private Matches so many months ago.
