Anime is lacking originality and depth these days and is slowly becoming stale and uninteresting.

There is not one anime that stands out or is aboriginal is anyway (scream Bake all you want)

The same thing with movies, music, books and games.

I guess I have to contstantly put IMO THIS IS MY OPINION every time I write something, huh? I've never insinuated that what I was saying was fact. It's the trends that I see in current anime that leave me that impression.

As for the anime you've listed, just because it's good doesn't its a landmark or sets a new standard for something.

For example, Call of Duty is a good game IMO THIS IS MY OPINION but it DOES NOT in anyway change the standard for how FPS' should be played.

Hell, that Boku show features a lot of the same elements and same cliches I've seen in shows before it. As for Bake and Angel Queefs, its the same supernatural/high school setting and 2-dollar plot anime that I've seen many countless times and in no way stands out in my eyes.

I've actually seen five episodes of Bake and six of AB. I don't watch 5 minutes of a show and just quit on it. I've already told you previously that I couldn't get into either show.

Bakemon's story about 'strange phenomenon' is hardly a new idea and after watching I can only feel a sense of over-ratedness like most reality tv shows. I have to say the show is nothing more then a rehashed Princess Mononoke or Mushishi (both that are each great shows in their own right). I felt like each episode I just watched was just constant rambling followed by a short action scene which is wrapped up with a 5 minute explanation of the episode itself.

Angel Beats! is probably the worst example. Every character is a cardboard cut out and can be reduced to one word. There's the cliched boring protagonist, the bossy Yurippe, the 'cool guy' Kanade, a bodybuilder, an egomaniac, an idiot, a nerd, a mindless beast, the chubby guy, a ninja(wat?), and so on. The art is nice and the OP is ok (not the greatest thing ever like you seem to think). I've felt like I could've been watching something else in my spare time.

One last thing, popularity doesn't mean a thing is good.

But Jersey Shore is popular and it's definitely good enough to be the best show in US.

Jersey Shore is actually a show people rip on the most.

Bake isn't bad by no means, but it doesn't stand out to me like it does to you.

Kuna cliched boring mhusika mkuu, Yurippe bossy, Kanade 'cool guy', bodybuilder, egomaniac, idiot, nerd, mnyama mindless, guy Chubby, ninja (nini?), Na kadhalika. Sanaa ni nzuri na OP ni ok (si jambo kubwa milele kama wewe wanadhani). Nimekuwa nilitamani hata tumekuwa kuangalia kitu kingine katika muda wangu wa ziada.
