You're the second to person who's recommended this...and no - pyre wasn't the other. I'll check it out if I can find a subbed version
I saw perfect blue years ago... many years ago. I've got it on DVD somewhere. That's another that needs dusting off. I can't recommend anything myself yet as I haven't seen anything noteworthy in a while... except Bakemongatari and most people have seen that.
Baccano looks interesting, I'll check it out. Sword Art Online is really good. It was actually good enough that after watching the first arc on the animu I looked up the translated light novels and started reading those.
Recently found this old manga called "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure". It's a pretty good series and the anime is a good remake so far. Two very clear distinctions between the protagonist and antagonist. The bad guy here is such an asshole. But the good guy isn't some defeatist hopeless sob either. It's a manly show, for manly men. Fast paced action. And you feel "cool" watching it. Only 2 episodes in, can't wait for more.
If you're in to beat em ups then JJBA is out on xbl. I had it on dreamcast and loved it soooooooooo much. Way better than SF (but not as good as Darkstalkers)
It is a very good work but I kinda dropped it after EP 8 for no particular reason. My brother have bought all of the light novels but I haven't read them yet. Are the English translations good? I don't know which version should I read but if you would say that the English translation is good then I might pick it over the Japanese one.
Much intense and intriguing too. Not as soft as season 1, a Boku's light novel reader like myself can guarantee you that. I wish I can tell you all of the "edgy" stuff that are going to happen but they'll be major spoilers for you lol.
Hey Jay, have you seen Cromartie High School? If you haven't, I highly recommend you watch the dubbed version; it's one of the funniest dubbed shows I've seen in a while.

Welcome to a year and a half ago. Usagi Drop The story is soft and heartwarming but humorous as well. Basically a bachelor adopts his recently deceased grandfather's daughter. Serial Experiments Lain Watch this, watch this now.
In the manga series, the guy actually marries her "nephew" after they discovered that they're not blood-related.
If you're an anime fan and you don't know this, please come visit here in Tokyo, Japan so I can give you a Zangief piledriver.
I haven't watched anime series in months, I need to browse this thread and pick one to watch. Well, I did watch one anime series out of boredom a month ago and it was a disappointment. Best overall animated series in terms of the most important factor in my book: writing. Hands down-
