If damage mattered most fighters with broken bones, busted noses and deep cuts would be the instant loser. Since that's all damage. Do you even watch fights that aren't decades old? There is a scoring system and an athletic commission for a reason. Oh and guess what it's the athletic commission that employ judges and refs. so it doesn't matter what fight organization it is the rules and regulations are all the same and are standardized.
But a LOT of the judges he picks usually tend to favor the fighter who had more control in the fights as opposed to the fighter who has done the most damage. Funny how that worked out.
And yet you scored 156 for Edgar even though all he did was to block Aldo's punches... with his face. Smh. I'm being very generous when I said Edgar won round 4. The only reason I gave that round to him was because he won the last 90 seconds of it pretty convincingly. Before that, he was getting his *** kicked Aldo 1, 2, 3, 4(the first 3 mins and 30 secs) and 5.
I take it you aren't a fight metric type person. Let's just say you are completely wrong. Not to mention LOTS of people also though Edgar won, even his fellow colleagues. Aldo backed up the whole fight and came forward just a few times with some jabs. Frankie by far mixes it up more than Aldo did the whole fight and that isn't even counting the grappling. But you a blind fanboy and so you won't see it that way.
But the fight metric itself says the other way. Ouch. Damage or not, points or not, aggression or not, Aldo won 49 - 46, nuff said. The guy won me over after he survived the *** kicking Bendo gave him the first time in Japan.
MMAInsider is not the show with Bas Ruten. It's the one with Chael Sonnen, Kenny Florian, Dominick Cruz, Brain Stann and Ariel Helwani among other guest hosts.
