Ambient sounds in celestial view (like on video material below)

    Well, I want music. I don't make my own playlists or such, except when - like in Supreme Commander 2 - there just is no music. Those playlists will just play the actual music from the game, not random stuff I like.

    It would be cool for the ambient music to be there when zooming in on an unoccupied celestial body.

    You would get that kind of feel of the new Battlestar Galactica series.
    It would be like putting something "on screen", but since there are no louder noises, your fancy space computer detects what there is and makes it audible.

    However, once an area or celestial body is populated with structures, bots and ships, I think this ambient stuff should barely exist.

    A good compromise I think?


    It's like going out into a smaller town in the evening when the hustle and bustle of people and cars have quieted down.
    You will hear the crickets chirping and the birds tweet.
    Those same sounds exist during noon, it's just that your ears filter them.
