Just got the mail, ALPHA started rolling.

You might get Steam-key any time you want. E.g you might play without Steam for long time and any time Uber might give you key. For sure that key doesn't change much because PA won't use Steamworks for multiplayer, so Steam and non-Steam users might play together.

So if you get Steam-key there will be two differences:
1 - You will get updates though Steam, and probably there will be some achievements only available for Steam users.
2 - Your UberNet account will be tied to your Steam account, so you only might play PA though Steam.
So for now I prefer non-steam.

I need to uncheck that box that says to force crossfire on applications that don't support it. That gets messy sometimes.
