ALPHA ROLLOUT STATUS

Yeah, it's just at my college, robotics engineers have a reputation of spending all their time in the lab. And sleeping in the lab. There's a sign on the door saying "Robotics Engineering Dormitory" (next to the one saying "Please feed the robotics majors" :lol

I actually enjoy the last minute rush, even if it does turn into an all-nighter. It's exciting, knowing you're about to be putting in the play the design you spent so much time one.

It is now 10.55 am in Germany. I hate the time change :evil:

It's not looking likely that many of us at all will get it before the Steam release unless they push that back.

What makes you say that?

Steam early access is scheduled for the 7th iirc and alpha keys will be staged - so supply will be limited (viewtopic.php?f=61&t=46675&p=732315#p732315).

Given the time frames it's a probably outcome.

But Neutrino specifically said we wont get them late.

We'll get it, it just may not be usable

Alpha is as alpha does, and that means don't even expect the code to reliably start. I'll happily spend the weekend poking at config files even if the client crashes every time prior to the first code update :mrgreen:

Neutrino committed to getting us the game prior to Steam, and I fully expect him to honour that (because I firmly believe that is his intent, not from some sense of entitlement). I also fully expect what we get to be whatever is in the repository at the time, and if it doesn't work that is not a problem.

The alpha will crash, it is inevitable; to expect more is unrealistic

Neutrino said he is coming in to the office early this morning, so we don't really know when "early" is. Usually they start at 09:00 PDT/PST.

damn. I hope by the end of tonight we'll have it...well I really hope it's before then, but the good thing is they can't push it past Thursday because the steam release was finalized, so we're close........I hope.....

I got up at 6:00AM ( 3:00AM their time) on a free day for this.... It better come out!

Yeah, waiting since 8:00 am. The only problem is that I dont have something to do today.

In Germany its 1:16pm now and they are not even awake . :roll:
