If it were me, even if I had a Alpha build I thought I could give out at 5pm, I'd still wait till first thing the following day so I'd the whole day to deal with the fall out.

As a fellow engineer who's had to deal with the pain (many times) of a large software roll out to the customer, I'm mostly (to fully) on their side

Remember that keys will be staged. Not everyone is getting a key at the exact same time.

A short question.

I have preorded during kickstarter a version with only beta access.
Few month ago I advanced to a alpha access version.

Do I get the key with the kickstarter alpha buyer or later together with the preorders?

Most of the last minute issues are things we think will break with more players. Stuff like joining a game in progress crashing it or being confused about getting into games. This isn't going to be perfect, just trying to get it to a place where it's not totally confusing.
