Lol.. It would be really cool to find old TA units destroyed in the battlefields... But I don't think this is possible due to copyrights..

Well what about Peedee's then? Or Deewee's or just a totally diferent name but still a lookalike unit?

Sounds like a cool idea, maybe Uber could ask Atari really nicely? Or just use similar looking units like you mentioned.

And if they don't, I bet there will be a mod really soon (after the game is complete ofcourse) to add the CORE and ARM faction.
although I personally think random encounters of ARM/CORE units on new planets would be way cooler. Capture some peewees and taunt your opponent with them :D

But in terms of immersive gameplay, I think these sort of things are relatively easily ot implement but still yield a great amount of effect. The player gets the feeling that the galaxy isn't empty.
While I realise its not on the same level, it's somewhat comparable to the music stretch goal. Everyone agreed it would be awesome to have because it makes the game better. I think the same applies here; adding these sort of things really add to the overall quality of the game.

Could be like the "animals" in Red Alert 2. I know that is a totally different game, but it had animals that attacked in a short range and wandered otherwise. Add that AI to a wierd alien model, and wala, most benefit from least work.
