Maybe I'm not following but, ergonomics aside, how is that different from the plain old keyboard?

it compressess the buttons and even adds a joypad, all in your hand.

better than going over an entire keyboard looking for buttons scattered about.

and tbh, you could use the gamepad for moving, and use the mouse to quick-sight, while still using the gamepad to play.

i.e. you play like a robot from the 60s with a keyboard most of the time, these are just suggested fixes if you like fluid movements.

Scathis' own words confirm that the mouse and keyboard are far better than the controller in any shooter.
You'll have none of these tools using a controller on the PC, and will have an experience that is inferior to playing it on the console with a controller or playing it on the PC with the keyboard and mouse. I've never had a problem reaching buttons on the keyboard, but then I tend to rebind my keys. The only one that's perhaps out of reach is the switch class button, which I don't think I've used yet. I have precise movement, and play perfectly well as assassin without a joystick and gamepad. For the PC version of the game, keyboard and mouse is superior, because that is what is designed for.
