    I do not like the score being displayed personally, and in SupCom, I play with ingame scores disabled.

    As has been said, it provides vague information that you shouldn't have. And is a rough guide as to 'how well' a player is doing.

    That said, it isn't by any means representative of how strong a player is compared to other players. Because of the way the scores are calculated, someone may be high on the scoreboard because they have more resources; yet they would be less of a threat than someone who rushed an early army. Ofcourse, someone with a good economy instead of an army will definitely become a threat.

    Ultimately, the score doesn't give too much away (though if someone falls MASSIVELY behind, it's a safe bet they are well behind). You just don't know WHY that persons score is so high, unless you scout them.

    Anyone who chooses their target based on score alone is likely to be in trouble.
