    The discussion here about multithreading is really priceless. The guys at Uber are pros, just trust them, they know what they are doing. If you are not a real expert on the topic you won't be able to help at all.
    Putting each unit into a single thread is really an "epic" idea.
    Imagine a wall made of bricks has to be build. It consists of 3000 bricks.
    Will you gain speed if you let 3000 people work on it, so everyone has a single brick to lay down? Or will a single person be faster, because he won't have to deal with 299 annoying other people?
    Putting each unit into its own thread is probably even worse than this...


    on topic:
    Fluctuations in game speed are not nice, but asking for them to go away is pointless. They result from a technical limitation, if your computer is not fast enough you just can't do anything about it. PA's client server solution already makes this whole thing easier, because you only have to have a powerful server, so slowdown in MP will be less common.
