A Way of Adding Tech to Default Units.

    No, it actually won't. That's how Forged Alliance is balanced, and it works completely backwards to what you expect.

    This is because a sufficient size of T2 bots can kill every T1 bot before any of the T1 bots get into range. No matter how many T1 bots you have, you can't get them into combat at all.

    You have to design the T2 bot so that it is useful only in specific situations, which is probably a very difficult task.

    I am tempted to think that weapon range and movement speed are the two most important balance factors. They both act as force multipliers (namely, you can multiply your opponents force by zero and make him as useful as a wet fish).

    Interesting in a simcity like playstyle.
    Build some units, fight with the AI a bit, let them come back to base, give them an upgrade, repair them ...

    But in a big fight there is no time for such unit micro.
    The units might not last that long as they are massivele massacred in the continous glorious battle that takes place.

    I want to be able to build the stuff I need to survive the battle and I want it where I need it without to much hassle because I have other planets/fights to tend to.
    Thus I prefer a ready to go unit that has the features straight from the factory it was produced.
