A tournament to celebrate the first patch of 2014 - Such prize! Saturday 18th Jan!

I'd be interested in joining the tournament. My steam name is Kang. I know the slots are full, but you can throw me in as a reserve just in case!

Would make sense to have a single set of params, in the same way brianpurkiss did for that AI challenge a while back... so all games have almost identical planets. It would minimize random advantages being given to certain players in certain games, and it would be cool to see how all the players handle a similar challenge. Also, that much planet (2 600s, and a 250) could make for multi-hour games in close matches

Will we get randomly Opponents or Depends this on how is there at the moment?

Have you never heard of a 3rd/ 4th playoff? The losers of the two semifinals?

Is it going to be allowed for other people to spectate matches (If of course their not playing or already been knocked out)?

Just notice there's a new version with server hot fixes. I wonder if this tournament has anything to do with that

Absolutely - it's a spectator event!

I want to be able to showcase as much of the new stuff as possible. If the first round reveals any problems we can adjust for the next rounds.
