    As I said in the OP and on the sheet, there's a 45 minute grace period for the matchmaking. That, to me, means that:

    Player x is scheduled to play Player y

    x posts in IRC at 19:01 saying he's ready to play his round.

    y doesn't respond

    at 19:46, player x can be granted a 'bye' by an officiator. Or, if it's the first round, whoever's top on the 'reserve' list can take y's place.
