A question to Uber (I hope this is the correct sub-forum)

    meh, i think game design is a form of art for a simple, bureaucratic, logical reason.

    because to learn related things to being a designer in college, and pursue such a career in game design, you take classes generally in the "art" section of studies. it is a creative work, but a lot of things are; what makes game design art to me is the fact that they hire people who learn in the "art" area of studies, its just considered that kind of career field.

    i hate art. but i like programming and even making graphics/models. since that has to be under some "field of study", let it be art since entertainment is a lot closer to that than it is math or science.

    I think Bioshock is a work of art (Ironically, Rapture was a city filled with artists, musicians, poets, ect, ect)
