3 New Commanders Show Up on the PTE and 2 More Hiding in the Game Files

Commanders don't fit with WYSIWYG in general. I think we can make an exception for one unit, especially when people pay 1000$ for said unit to be different or interesting.

First off, old topic? Second off, you can't tell backers you promised to design a model for, that you can't give them any cosmetic request they want. They are guns, if you want a lore then they have no memory of how they function much like a damaged nerve will leave a person unable to use their legs.

At least they don't function. Imagine if they did. Either way, you can't use wysiwyg as a counter to backer models. Even Uber has a commander with back-missiles, and it doesn't really matter because commanders are the only "cosmetic" unit in the game right now.

These are pretty old, necrosis thread. Anyway PTE is the public testing environment, if you're using the Uber launcher you can easily set It to use that, with steam you'll need to go to PA's properties and select it as a beta.

Anyway it's basically what Uber uses to show off WIP sfuff. Like extreme balance changes and stuff before it goes live to get feedback early.

That article started off as a great read, but by the end I started thinking about what and how things were being said along with the actual circumstances and became disgruntled about the entire affair.

Basically:

The article is making it sound like a done deal when only 6 of the 102 or so qualifying persons have coms ingame (7 counting armalisk). KNight submitted his commander 3 or 4 months ago and hasn't heard the slightest thing back from Uber about it.

Not so much on the second part, after the first month of no new commanders I figured they stopped working on them in favor of something elsse, no idea what because we didn't really get much in terms of new units or anything. I just don't like why it's "Hype in Disguise"n in some ways. Yeah it's great that 6 people made thier investment back, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get six month's exclusivity, and while I do feel that in general my Tyrant has a leg up in terms of overall appeal the price I might have to settle for will work against that in a saturated marketplace.
