For this you can just hold left ctrl, and build your unit. it gets infront of the queue.

When the optimisation gets up to the point where I can run the game at a reasonable FPS, then I will certainly be looking to give this a try. Till then, I will just keep an eye out for any decent casts to see how this works in practice.
