2012 Private Match Community

I thought it might be an alt myself, but his Assault was hardly on par with mine, and my Assault is nothing to brag about. His Sniper took Skill's Tank out with a couple real nasty shots. We'll see how he does.

Bummer about Jerr too. He could have been a solid Sniper for your team.

Yeah, Jerr had potential. He had clever movements and positioning unlike the majority of other pub players. There's a lack of snipers, but really there could be more teams if people were dedicated (that's the issue) Joedaddy's gunner, weedmans support, juggalo's sniper, yielding ram's tank, or even darron's tank. Darron can really play a couple classes, and lastly an okay assault/assassin.

headcase has been widely regarded as one of the better supports, why hasn't anyone picked him up yet? I call dibs on him as our sub!



Any other fresh faces interested in privates or do very well in pubs? Any old faces return?

I saw Some Gothic Kid a couple weeks ago, but he was ... terrible?

Hey, anyone who is interested should be included. Players like Some Gothic Kid, MrDeathMetal666, BariSaxBandGeek weren't amazing or game changing players, but were more than capable of being in the matches themselves.

On a much more serious note, you should try to pick up DoctorxWho (sp?).

Were you disappointed or turned off in how easy it was SHStiger? I sometimes feel like pubs get easier and easier as time passes. Experienced players tend to leave quicker and before new players get a hang of it.

I'll tell you what though, as far as competition goes. The game has drastically improved in private matches/ team matches since the time New Scum was a team... and I mean DRASTICALLY improved. The meta-game isn't the same, and a lot of roles have changed focus. I look back at matches during those times with various teams and see no teamwork, silly ideas, lack of communication, and almost a pub like atmoshpere. If you want a bit of a challenge, the modern day private matches are as competitive as it's ever been.

i see potential in lucky slick. you should try to mold him into a sniper, he played halo competitively and has good communication, he has barely played it but i could see him being pretty good at it with the right help.

definitely has the raw gaming ability. he could be molded into a great assault, but would definitely check out his sniper's accuracy to see if it's worth it.

I got in contact with a VERY good halo player (better than deadeye ever dreamed of), and he is interested in giving this game a shot. Right now I'm going to try and mold him into our sniper.

True dat. He's got excellent communication and sounds just like like Razor Ramon. He would be an asset to any team/party chat.

Strongside is not going to snipe for you. Stick with Yo Im Garbage.

D0CTORxWHO played some PMs recently and wants to do more. He ran assassin one round, but he did best as a support since he is pretty good at moving the fat Italian around to keep up with gunners, he just needs to learn how certain gunners play and watch out for enemy firebases more.

Kleighton was sniping for a while last night. I was never on the same team as him, so I did not get a feel for if he was having fun or not.

LuckySlick is pretty good. I didn't get much action against him in a PM, but he is solid in pubs and seems like he would do well.

I will ask around my friends list and update if I get anyone else, but I do know that;

DaAssault wants to play, but he is pretty new. Since he plays assault ( :roll: ) he might benefit from someone teaching him a few things for PMs.

Mars Mahlghoul will play but his work schedule makes him spotty on if he is available. He plays everything but gunner, and has done a couple of PMs a while back. His best class is support but has a decent pub sniper.

Just easy. Other team was pinned back in their base almost a minute into the match.

Sounds like privates have gotten better with communication etc. Haven't had fun with a shooter competitively since Halo 2 due to all the communication/teamwork involved in it. That's why I quit playing MNC way back. Private matches were a bit too lax.

Scum wasn't even really a team so much. We never played a single match with our tournament team (Me/Wallace/Manny/Dude/PohTayToes) before facing GP in that Fragged tourney. I don't think I even knew Dude was on the team prior to me joining the lobby to play it.
