I'm going nuts with this problem as well... Windows 10 + 16 gig of ram + i7 3770 Nvidia gtx 970 with 4 gb ram... Driver version 355.60 Things I've tried (with no success): 1, turning off windows defender 2, disabling all mods 3, deleting AppData Uber directory (which brought the game back with much lower quality graphics settings than I normally play with) 4, changing the compatibility settings for the games down to windows 8 and windows 7 5, moving the game to my ssd drive 6, playing full screen instead of windowed (I normally play in a window) 7, killing the xbox app which was chewing a heap of cpu for no apparent reason
*vram There is a known Win10 memory leak - that could be the problem. Next time the crash happens, have task manager open and watch the memory usage. If you have the leak it should skyrocket to the max threshold (probably 6GB or so on an 8GB machine) fairly quickly.
Yeah I've had task manager open heaps.. definitely the memory leak... so you're saying it's a driver problem?
Those crashes are not a memory leak. For example it happens when I load a game that is in the middle of fight, couple planets, and nothing is wrong until I move mouse. Moving mouse leaks memory instantly? I doubt. Edit. They are not for me at least.
Nope! I'm saying it's something that's on Uber's side (I think). I'd have to look at the buried memory leak thread....it's gotta be around here somewhere..... It'll be fixed ~soon. Don't quote me on that though. Hopefully some random Uber dev pops in here and throws around some relevant information that answers any remaining questions. I do remember them saying a hotfix was on the way....no ETA though. Look on the bright side: You know what it is! That's a million times better than where I was yesterday morning D: I might have seen a user solution floating around somewhere....just can't remember where....citation needed so badly. D: That's the exact reconnect crash I was getting. Do you have all mods disabled? What do the crash logs look like?
https://forums.uberent.com/threads/area-command-hard-crash-for-entire-game.69555/ I have all the info here. I used mods, no mods, some mods, etc. That Windows thing helps, but I can't play at 5 fps. Crashlogs are in that topic, like, 15 of them
My crashes just started reappearing today. Looks like I'm stuck too. Figured out what observable it is (I think). Which ever one updates when I move my mouse. Which is probably all of them. Goddamnit.
I also have this problem, then when I reconnect it doesn't load any of the units, my buddy can keep playing but i get stuck with no units visible. I have: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10240) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Memory: 16384MB RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Current Mode: 1920 x 1200 (32 bit) (59Hz) Monitor Name: Dell U2412M(DisplayPort) Heres crash logs
