As we prepare for offline/lan servers, we have a number of new changes that could use some extra eyes on / hands on playing. One of the most notable is a major change to our pathing system. This has been almost two months in the work, with multiple people offering their knowledge and expertise. It should have the combined impact of improving pathing reliability, performance, and enjoyability of the game. I'll get more detailed notes out later, but that is the primary focus. The servers are still coming online, but in the meantime, if you want to get patched up, please do! I'll also be setting this to PTE on Steam for people who play through there!
Changes [Pathfinding] The pathfinding changes appear to allow better pathing on terrain brushes, based on the changes to terrain: [Terrain] Addition of plateaus (desert_plateau_12) to desert planets [Terrain] Addition of plateaus (lava_plateau_01) to lava planets [Terrain] Addition of bridges/plateaus (metal_structure_12) to metal planets [UI] In-Game alliances view? [UI] Alerts shown on chrono-cam bar [Modding] New scene: live_game_time_bar_alerts [UI] Spectator alerts shown in team colour? [UI] Landing zone options in System Editor Number of armies to preview Max Landing Zones per Army Max Landing Zone size [UI] Slight update to current time icon in Chrono-cam progress bar (?) @brianpurkiss , looks like some nice UI updates for spectators (and players). Looks like they also liked my chrono markers mod (although I haven't seen the change in-game yet)
I just got done testing the pathing improvements on the metal planet. Yikes! So much better than the last build. I even made a video showcasing hundreds of dox running around.
amazing work guys, new spawn options are awesome, great for balancing maps altho i did still get crash to desktop after playing a game then trying to enter system editor. just an idea but if your going to remove the planet seed slider you might need a randomize button maybe.

lel got there before we did haha heres mine anyway ...... another is that spawn points will become impossible to see in water
Alright did not know, never tried. also is the arrows that point the shared eco when your in alliance mode with someone new? i could hover next to my % and see how much metal in gross that my ally is giving me or i am giving him.
