Please only post to this thread if you're uploading an UberProbe file.

    1. Don't do dozens of uploads. One upload per person in bad frame rate situations should be plenty. If we want more, we will PM you about it.
    2. Do provide information about the situation (Tons of units, lots of factories, a nuke going off, etc).
    3. Do not fill this thread with conversation about other peoples posts. We will delete it. We need to make this thread lean and mean and focused on uploads for peoples perf. :)

You capture by pressing ctrl+F11 to capture a 500ms snapshot. It can create a varying size file, located at:
    C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\PerfLogs\

The file in question has a .upf extension, with the following type of naming convention:
    quick_yyyy_m_d__hh.mm.ss.upf

Hello, I'm fairly new to the forums. I have just tested the system editor a little but was experiencing quite bad performance. Ctrl + P was telling me I was getting 5 to 7 FPS with about 4 planets of different types built and a couple moons. Just wandered if that's normal, I have the UberProbe file from when this was occurring if that helps.

    Cheers.

Edit: I cant upload the UPF file, I get an error saying "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension.

    quick_2013_9_4__1.2.54.upf"

I put it in a zip file.

Edit 2: I have put in my DxDiag too.
    But I have a 8350 @ 4.5Ghz and a 7970 Ghz and 16 GB of 1866 Mhz RAM.

Zip file is better anyway, as it drastically decreases the size of the attachment. :)

My frame-rate was good (30-100fps) until trying to attack with perhaps 50 -100 dox. Then it dropped to about 15-20fps. But the stuttering (while attacking with many units) seemed better than before. Still not perfect while attacking with dozens of units. Sun seems to jump position. Using Australian server with connection from Malaysia (5mb/s up/down).
    System specs:
    Processor: i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
    Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7750
    Memory: (RAM) 8.00 GB

I've normally tended to get sub-par FPS, but playing with features turned off helps, and the virtual texturing improvements have been helping a bit, so I can get 30 FPS at the start of a game. In this particular game, the AI got stuck after building a mex and gen in a crater, so I built up a bunch of random giant armies for the hell of it, which got average FPS down to 10. I then proceeded to throw the entire conglomeration at the crater, but none of them were able to attack the commander for some reason (although they blew up his buildings), so I sent a nuke to his head. That made the entire game effectively die for a few seconds, what with the explosions of my units :p Afterwards, the com was still alive, and his buildings had reappeared for some reason 0_o (edit: oh wait, he rebuilt them after the nuke cleared the wreckage :p).

Experience a slowdown right from the start. Might just be my machine..... time to upgrade some things perhaps?

Quite a few units moving into attack on both sides. Defenses going as well as plenty of production. Game crashed two times.

Wow, how do you get the uber build? My steam version sucks on performance!

Edit: I found it, tried it, and can concur, It handles better than my steam version. Loads quicker from launching the game and I get about 20 fps extra in gameplay on the same planet. Also, The system editor works slightly smoother from the uber launcher version.

You don't need to use launcher to get better performance. Try to disable Steam overlay (Shift+Tab thing) for PA, then you won't see any difference no mater how you run game.

I think overlay affect OpenGL performance quite a lot on Windows.

PS: Feel free to remove this post, sorry.

Playing against 3 AI players. on a big (size 5) earth planet. Game review and game itself was really slow after around 50 min ingame play time. Lots of unit movement and production as well as a big base.

scrolling in to the planet as near as possible get the fps up, scrolling out decrease the fps dramatically. Trying to move the cam when scrolled out max was a big pain it feels like a slide show.

    Game: 4 FFA
    Planet: Earth, Size 3
    FPS: 0fps - 7fps

very laggy game (low fps from the start compared to normal) and then just keeps getting worse.

Size 2 map, medium number of units.
Seems the slow down happen most often at middle zoom level.

Playing vs a single AI on a metal planet. Had been toying with the com/sniping buildings/etc. Didnt have very many units at all, but there was this crazy lag that started building up over time. Got to the point where there would be a 3 second lag between giving a command and something started to happen. Note that I have smashed together armies of hundreds of bots with very little lag/framerate drop at all.

EDIT- Also, why is my log like, 6 times larger than anyone elses?
