I think the astraeus should be able to lift structures. I am against changes to teleporters, especially nerfs.
So you can migrate a base from one planet to another. Making it the perfect evacuation machine. Put the units in the teleporter and move the factories with Astraeusus. It would have to be limited to the smaller structures to limit the silliness. If there was some kind of container structure/unit that could be lifted and deployed to a different planet, that would work well for carrying troops around.
These planets are small. The gravity would allow it . Otherwise just make the Astraeus a little bigger.

I think this is very two-edged question. It somehow doesn´t make any sence in setting, so it should be changed! (you can read my general opinion on how important in-setting balance is right here: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/an-in-setting-in-lore-view-on-common-balance-issues.67048/) But it does work pretty well from the mechanics POV! OrbitalFabbers are serving many purposes as "Gaters", "PoorMansSSXs" and Basebuilders in one unit. I do like them pretty much!
I know I did but the discussion is strongly going in that direction now with the talk of removing ground construction capacity from the orbital fabber. people can go vote for it.
Call me crazy, but, why don't we make the Astreus a mobile teleporter unit? As in, you build two, station one on your home planet, send the other one to the enemy planet, have them both touch ground, then they unfold and you now have two smaller connected teleporters at a reduced cost to electricity. You can then send fabbers and other units through to build actual teleporter structures. We could make it work by vastly decreasing the speed at which orbital units build teleporters (and teleporters only, or maybe even preventing them from building teleporters at all), thus making the Astreus the better choice. Make it cost almost nothing in terms of power, targetable by bombers and land units and maybe give it a bit more health(Or A lot)? (No longer vulnerable to AA) If you think about it, its no different than the current system. -You can use orbital radar to detect an approaching target to your planet -Same consensus of a funnel to limit unit flow -Counterable by using bombers before too much AA comes to protect it. Here is the thing, we haven't nerfed the ACTUAL teleporter, we've just given a reason to use the Astreus to invade enemy planets. That means in team army matches, using two structural teleporters to assist a teammates are still possible and we haven't ruined team gameplay mechanics.
