Paha, but that requires you get to t2, which will never happen in a 1v1 and ALWAYS happens in a larger gane, which is odd... It should be a biiit more consistent imo.

Yeah, I'm a bit biased, I rarely play 1v1s. 1v1s never see t2 because it's so ridiculously expensive to get to t2 with a t1 economy that you'd have to cut production of units - and thus lose. Upgrade to t2 needs to be cheaper (or t1 economy needs a buff), t2 economy needs a bit of a nerf though, imo.

If T2 units like the sniper were not like god, then I could really go for a mass price drop, but coupled with T2 fabbers and god like units compared to individual T1 units, then im really not so sure.

That's why their power needs to drop in compensation. :D

    T2 needs the following:

A smaller opportunity cost for the factory.
Lower the cost and power per unit for all t2 units. (I did it proportionally in the CUBM, so the units still have approximately the same unit power per metal).

    And t2 Eco needs:

Nerf to production and cost of energy.
    Expensive, 15-20m extractors.

    Super weapons need:
    A reduction in cost.

Just as a side note, even if the eco production of mex and pgen would increase linearly with time, the economic growth would be exponential, it just would be a steeper curve. It is really hard to get something that is more than exponential growth.

It's fine the way it is- expansion and good eco are key to teching up.
the game isnt set up like that :p

I've been reading a lot of these "T2 isn't worth it" threads and from what I've seen would it be viable to add 3 tiers of units? Since there's such a big increase in unit cost and what not couldn't Uber just make current T2 T3 and add some more units as the new T2? It would make the upgrade lot less expensive than T3 (current T2) and it might just balance out the whole economy thing. Although that would also bring more problems to the table. I think it'd still be worthwhile investment. It'd make 1v1s waaaaaay more fun.

Going back to the original post. I'm a bit torn.
I've already posted in other places, but I'll put it again here in more simple terms.

Basically, PA as a whole is all about big solar system interplanetary war.
    So even though 1v1 feels limited and people bitch about lack of variety;
if you can get everything now then what do people aim for when they have 2-3-4 planets?
Nothing new? Nothing to strive for? After an hour or two it's only war of attrition between fairly even skill differences. That, or when there's a big gap in skill differences, whoever gets everything advanced from 1-2 planets auto wins.

In light of that; as much as I want to say make advanced buildings cheaper, I feel like at the same time
we should make other stuff more expensive. Maybe keep the units the same cost, but all advanced buildings more expensive?

Also this belongs in other posts but since economy tends to get easier as you get more advanced economy, maybe we should be decreasing the metal income ever so slightly, and also buffing energy economy ever so slightly since it becomes very easy to stall?
