Hi, i've never addressed this until now as i see it as a rather low priority issue. But now that multiple planets become more and more of a thing it becomes very obvious just how bad the zooming works on MacOSX.

I believe the problem lies in the inherent "inertia" of scrolling on MacOSX, while that is great if i want to flick through a website in a browser, in PA i want zooming to stop as soon as i stop zooming. As it is now i have to set zooming speed to 1 to have any kind of control about where the zoom stops.

I'm pretty sure this "inertia" can be disabled for a specific application, so if that's really the reason please do so!

same, it's also tough to zoom all the way out to strategic view.

no i've tried it both with magic mouse and a generic windows mouse, it's the same for both.
