Your Killing my Xbox, in a Good Way.

Guys, this is the best game ever as far as fps is concerned, never before have i been so angry as to hunt people down out of bloodlusting vengance, even at the cost of my own life. But that is not why we are here today, today we are here for the one tiny problem im having. Ever since the Spunky Cola patch my xbox has been getting red rings of dismay (or death, whatever negative nancy). The problem is fixable but it is very frustrating right in the middle of destroying your opponents to have your xbox fizzle. Please help =D

You're SOL. Call Microsoft support and ship it in, I believe the warranty should cover it. If you aren't given a slim/S/valhalla model and get a falcon model instead, buy an intercooler. The ones with their own independent AC adapters work very well(in contrast to the ones that plug run off your console's own PSU: which in its own way creates MORE heat and issue!).

On top of that, make sure you keep your console in an open area where it can ventilate heat well and keep it clean so dust doesn't build up in/on it: which also creates more heat. If it's collected a bunch of dust, you can use a can of compressed air to remove the dust easily enough.

Lastly on a slightly-unrelated note, avoid standing your console upright. If it's shaken or moved even the slightest bit, you can expect major damage to any disc in the tray.
