http://www.youtube.com/user/otakuzaku#p/u/3/im4Rjo6YrPw 1:15 in the video, are those slim/blackjack spawners?
Yeah, right outside the respawn room there were buttons to spawn blackjacks, slims, and the jackbot. All were free, but had cooldowns It seemed like only one of the two bot spawn gates was producing bots normally, and the other one only spawned bots when someone pressed the buttons. I guess the point was to give a bot advantage to the team that's dying and respawning more. If a team had nobody die for a while, they would get less bots because nobody would respawn and push the buttons.
I guess you weren't listening that day when I explained it to you.... or maybe you just don't remember. Btw you do know that's Hostile Paradox's youtube page right?
Ah, good to see my video is getting around. Yes, those are Slim, Blackjack, & Jackbot spawners in the front of your spawn door. The Jackbot spawner of course took the longest. I'm guessing once every 5 mins, like normal Jackbots, but you had the option of choosing when to dispatch him. The point of making the bots spawnable was to be able to coordinate bot rushes. If I recall what John Comes told me. But that was a month ago, so my memory is a little foggy. I don't think it's shown in the video, but to the right of the spawn, on the floor is the option to spawn the 4 bot types. (No scramblers) So yes, this probably does help if you die a lot to help push the enemy back. But it also lets you coordinate a joint bot/pro strike. Of course, keep in mind, the longer you wait to spawn the Jackbot, the less you will see of him. So its a balance between getting as many Jackbots out as possible, and choosing the tipping point to spawn him that will help you out. All bot spawners cost nothing, since making them cost even a little was determined to just give the other team money. (When they destroyed your bots) The map is still being tweaked, so this is probably not the final version.
