Of course YES, you can enjoy a lot more eye candies and higher resolution while not having a too low fps.

Uhm silly question, but why not try it if you've already upgraded?

I'd have thought the performance boost should be pretty obvious (the 750ti is *much* faster than a 520).

Or are you posting because you were expecting a boost but it's not working that way?

I just got the exact same GPU, and o my god. What a difference. Now the game runs on Uber settings until the end at 60 fps and then it is just running at 30 fps.

Do it, best decision of my life.

As a bonus all my games run at 60fps on high settings(EX: Metro Last light)

to me, GT 520 was ok with PA, and now i got GTX 750 ti, which is better, so yes it would be good

A 630 would do it for sure, although you'd be limited to low settings probably...

If you could stretch to it the 640 or 650 cards are much more powerful. Also Radeon 250x and above are also decent performers for money (the 250 non x is half the perf of the x so I'd avoid that one).

If you tell me your budget and country I could give you some suggestions as to what to get.

Edit: other thing to think about before getting pa- your os sound be 64 bit (windows 7, 8.1, linux or latest mac os) and you really need 4gb or more ram (it is possible to play on 2gb but only in very small maps). Cpu shouldn't be an issue, just need dual core 2ghz + provided you don't mind low settings.

I'm not sure the GPU is the only factor.

I have a GTX 460 and the game runs very smoothly at High settings, but then i have an i7 processor overclocked to 4.0 Ghz and 6 gigs of fast DDR ram (can't remember the exact speed).

For the moment, graphics wont do nearly as much as internet connection does; due to the simulations all being done on the server.

But when they do allow offline bot skirmishes, the CPU and memory is going to be a lot more important.

Thanks for the info man! Didn't about windows 7, etc. (xp over here) I live in the Philippines but will probably go shopping for computers parts if I ever get to go to my aunt's house in NYC, perhaps you can suggest a store? Also, my budget is below $100, im looking for a cheap yet usable upgrade for PC (im fine with low graphics).

it works fine with my specs

    Geforce GTX 750 Ti
    Intel Core i5 2030 3.0 Hz
    8 GB RAM

and "mayhamster", you are right; it not all about the Graphic Card

Well I'm not sure about a shop to go in and buy from, however if your Aunt could order in a part for you Amazon.com is a good bet.

What card is best value changes so a good think to check is the Toms Hardware value segment on graphics cards (updated monthly), link to their latest one:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-2.html

At the moment they're recommending the Radeon R7 250X as best value for your budget ($99). It's a decent card and should run pretty much anything well provided your not running a very high resolution screen.

A good example of one on Amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/MSI-R7-250X-Graphics-1GD5/dp/B00JJNQ8S2/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1406133495&sr=1-1&keywords=R7 250X

Note that has a $20 rebate as well (so that drops it's price to $80).

Also one word of warning- there are quite a few 250X cards being advertised with 2gb of DDR3 ram- don't get one of those! 1gb of GDDR5 ram is a much better idea as DDR3 is slow and will kill the performance of the card.

If you can find a card with 2gb of GDDR5 ram for your budget get it, but don't be tempted by DDR3 as it is half the speed.

This game will not work on XP at all, even if you have the 64-bit version, you'll need to upgrade to a newer version of windows or dual boot linux.

If you are on a tight budget, linux is the way to go (its free), I'd recommend getting Linux Mint here (the 64-bit version)
    http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
as its probably familiar enough to be easily usable. You can find plenty of guides via google (or asking here on the forum) on how to dual boot your operating system.

For less advanced users I'd also suggest looking at XUbuntu (as I really can't stand unity in standard). The only reason I say this is Ubuntu comes with a curated app store for all the main linux applications, which Mint lacks (at least it did last time I looked at it). Mint is nice though.

I'm not exactly sure all of what mint has. It's built on top of ubuntu so I figured it would have most of what ubuntu does. I use linux almost entirely from the terminal so my app store has always been just "apt-get." I recommended mint mostly to avoid unity and have a windows-ish environment. any version that has that I think would be a good bet.

Yeah, there are quite a few Ubuntu derivatives- xUbuntu = xfe desktop, kUbuntu - KDE. Unity isn't *that* bad, but I preffer a classic desktop myself.

If gaming is your think might be worth trying Steam OS as well.

I just upgraded from a Geforce GTX 285m to a Geforce GTX 680m and the difference is like night and day. The video card is the upgrade that will do the most good for game performance.

On larger systems a RAM upgrade would do more than a GPU upgrade.

On smaller systems a GPU upgrade would be more effective though.
