I've got Windows 8 64-bit with 7 GB of RAM, Phenom 920 and nv 9800GT.
before last update, I played 3 or 4 times on medium settings, and all went fine.

After last update, game lags as hell, giving about 5 fps max and extreme loading times (in minutes). Even on the lowest settings.

    Any suggestions?

though, I just played 1 match against AI and win with 35 ants. But it was extremely laggy.

And, btw, stats in the end were all empty.

same happened to me also, but most of the time, even with HDR active, I manage to have good FPS with 9 planets (size 800). I'm quite impressed about the performance achieved so far. When extreme lagging is occuring, i just quit the game, then i rejoin and everything is OK (although i have noticed that when joining back, it takes a while to have all previously built mexes displayed and in the meantime nothing is preventing you from building new mexes on top of the ones which were previously built. I'm not sure there's no bug here). But rejoining is quite an impressive feature.

if you rejoin, you have to go to chronocam, rewind it to the start, and wait until you see your commander. Then you fast forward (sliding with the mouse) to the present in the game and see all units there s hould be. This is a good workaround, I hope this will sometime be fixed^^

I thought it was normal that theres nothing in the stats. at least when i play they are always empty.

    I like the workaround. Thanks!

I presume the remaining bug is because the current implantation of 'curves' doesn't keep a server side update string [of data] for someone who disconnects?
