I know its a stretch, but will backers have to buy the retail version of the game if they want the box and art and whatnot? I mean, im fine with paying another $40-$60 for it, so it can look pretty on my shelf, but still.
At some pledge level you get a box as well, even though it does not contain an actual disc with the game afaik. But below that I'd assume yes you would need to buy the box again if you want the default retail box.
Awww, what!? Can't they just mail me an empty CD case with the PA box art on it? And maybe an instruction booklet too, would make it seem more authentic.
I doubt that even the final full retail version will have a printed booklet. Much more likely to have multi-lingual PDF files on the disk (I may be wrong, though). Easy enough to get hold of a spare CD case, then print your own custom insert for it.
Exactly. Anyone not backing for the physical goods won't get physical goods. The game is being put together at a relatively tiny cost, compared to most games. Uber aren't liable to suddenly think "Oh yeah, let's make thousands of goods we haven't previously mentioned, or budgeted for, and then on top of that, ship these goods around the world for no cost to our customers.
Would be nice though to have an option to buy just the box and stuff. Say 10-20$, for those of us who paid for early access
Well, I'm an early backer, and I've bought more than one key, AND I'll be buying at LEAST one full retail box, when they come out.
