Why is uber trying to make me buy this game a 2nd time?

Like the title says, why am I almost being forced into buying the same game again?
Why couldnt this have just been sold to me as dlc?
The option to disable titans is apprently there so why cant i add this to my already existing game?
Instead of forking out for something I already own that has a few extra units?
