Why is LoTR:BFME not included as an RTS Uber developers have worked on?

I have noticed that under "The Team" on the Planetary Annihilation website the picture of Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth shows up. However, Uber does not advertise this game as one team members have worked on in their FAQ and across the web in interviews. Why is this the case? LoTR: BFME is a great RTS and adding it to the list of RTSs that Uber developers have worked on in the past would make the pitch for PA that much better.

I guess it's because Uber doesn't own the ip and it was an EA edited game.

wikepedia says EA did the developement too : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lord_of_the_Rings:_The_Battle_for_Middle-earth_II

you answer is, because it's not a Uber game.

contrary to demigod, TA, SupCom, SupcomFA, Supcom2, mnc and smnc which "most" of the team worked on, such titles as iron man, battlespire, BFME, earth and beyond, matrix reloaded, morrowind, command and conquer Genrals zero:hour concerns parts of the team from Westwood Studios which must have decided to join Uber either when EA bought WS or when they closed it.

I think you misread my post. I said that LoTR:BFME was a game that Uber employees have previously worked on, just like Supreme Commander, Command and Conquer: Zero Hour, and Total Annihilation. They don't own the IP to those games, but members of Uber have indeed worked on them in the past for other companies.

well I think it's probably just stretching the truth if only one uber employee worked on it.

Yeah. Maybe it was just one guy doing scenery props. Nothing much to boast about.

Well, there's a lot of games out team has worked on, that one just didn't happen to get mentioned. No nefarious reasons, it just didn't. :) As you noted, it shows up in the collage of titles.

In this case, it was relevant - it's Scathis who worked on it, so his experience on it is quite relevant. It just hasn't come up in discussions for no particular reason. Other than Sup Com/Demigod, none of the games I have worked on show up in that list either. Or a lot of the other new folks at the company. They come up from time to time in discussion, but we'd rather focus on the games we're making now. :)

Thanks for the informative response. I guess I was too hasty to single out a particular game I saw in the collage without realizing that it was very probable that many other RTS games were also developed but not mentioned.

I just wanna say Westwood produced some of my favorite games of all time! Including Lands of lore, C&C 1, Dune 2000 and Nox (the later 3 I used to play and win tournaments of all the time at a local business)! Scathis, thank you!
