I like playing the support to a degree....I would honestly rather play as a gunner or assault though. I end up playing as a support most of the time though and it is aggrivating. This is because (General rule, but there are exceptions) the majority of people playing support either 1) Suck 2) go commando leaving the base open for getting raped. I feel obligated to play support and try and keep the base up which results in me having a 3/1 KD ratio...at best 11/0 and at worst around 6/9 with a ton of assists.

It seems that the majority of the time when i play another class the base gets swamped right away and we lose....even if we have 3 other supports on the team...b/c they charge ahead with no one healing the turrets. Anyone else have this problem or am i just being paranoid/exaggerating?

You're right about one thing, most supports suck. But you honestly don't need to sit in your base, control annihilator or the middle of the map in a choke point.

Obviously you can't do this on Grenade 3 but every other map it's pretty easy.

By controlling the middle and annihilator you're giving your team map control which in turn lets you kill enemy bots easier and eventually push into the enemy base.

Obviously you wanna look out for enemy assassins juicing and killing all your turrets but what good does killing a turret do if their bots aren't jumping on the money ball? By controlling the middle you prevent this from ever happening.

Lazer Razer - Throw firebase under bridge in front of enemy spawn, it'll keep them from moving around bottom mid easily and it will stop every bot that comes through that part, obviously if you have an assassin they can take out the rest easily.

Steel Peel - firebase either on those little ledges right in front of the enemy base or up top where they come through on the jump pad, obviously they can both be airstriked but if you do the first method right it is hard to airstrike because of the way the wall works and the fact that your firebase isn't on the ground.

Ammo Mule - In the dome, throw a firebase in the corners(left or right doesn't matter) in front of the doorway coming in on the enemies side. This keeps them off their ramps and annihilator.

I usually upgrade firebase and hack to level 2 for this because it dominates, especially early on.

Thanks for the input. I do most of that when i can...I feel uneasy going out left/right on maps b/c it never fails the other side gets taken over. It isn't everytime i guess...only on the games where my team doesn't talk at all....I would love to get on a group from here, but my playing times are sporadic due to school/clinicals/family/etc. Thanks

Take two medicore teams and put them against each other....all else being equal the team with a support has the upper hand on the team that does not.

This is before you consider the juice healing bug.
