I bought this particular game on steam recently, I like the design of it a fair bit, but the sheer number of hackers in it is appalling. From the very start I noticed people that make 180 degree turns instantly (single frame kind of instantly) with perfect aim on their shotgun/charge/etc and shooting with absolutely no delay. Later on I noticed snipers that pick you off the second you appear in their sights, there are fairly few of those, however, I think mostly due to how maps are made to not facilitate long range sniping and overly open vantage points. Is there anything being done to fix this? I'm rather inclined to never play this game ever again and post on every form I know of how retarded the hacking issue is in this game. It's not enough that there are servers lying about their population and very few servers to begin with, you can seldom find a server without hackers on it.
1) You might be serious, but even then, you have only experienced some bad luck. Hacking isn't as bad as that. 2) Hackers get put on a list. That list is automatically updated every so often, so they are automatically banned by IP and Steam ID by default. All dedicated servers have this, so most servers have a blocked list of known hackers. You can help by recording proof of the hackers you find, and posting here about it so they add it to the list. 3) I can always find plenty of servers, some official (best ones imo), some hosted by game organizations, some with mods and some without. Actually, very few with in-game mods, but that isn't necesarily this game's fault since it allows in-game mods. IMO, couldn't uber make some of us forum members into partial-power server-admins for the official servers? That way we can ban in-game players for hacking. Still, that could possibly lead to irresponsibility on those admins, so idk.
The true hackers I've seen are the ones that don't even try to hide the advantage their tools give. For example, I encountered a guy yesterday literally nicknamed 'www.artificialaiming.net', and within the first 30 seconds he came on during an on-going game, the whole opposing team was shot dead via headshots only. This was on that Fair Gamers server too, so the guy clearly had some sense of humour as well. I've only seen two hackers throughout my entire gameplay time, and for both I just simply left the server and hope the schmuk gets reported because MNC's console just simply won't open for me.
I have also only played 2 hackers in my game time. The problem is one of them was already supposedly banned (AcydBurn). What good is the ban if they can still play? I sense someone on Windows Vista here (Referring to consoles that will not open.) L. Spiro
I'm on Win7 at the moment, and it's weird really. The only time I ever see it open is after a match when I press the escape key to exit something. :? I know it's meant to be the tilde key, but that's definitely not responding, no matter what situation I'm in. I know another guy who has the same, exact problem too. Win7 as well.
Completely agree with topic! It's amazing how many of them are out there! I srsly run into at least one every day, and for some reason, they just stand completely still when my lazer blazer is shooting at them, as if they have infinite health! And they constantly juice, which I know is impossible 'cause the juice buy isn't ready, and I have gold juice on my sniper, so I should really know if it was possible to get so much juice! I'm so glad to see a topic like this! And btw. if you see a guy named awpteamoose on the servers, just leave. He uses every kind of hack and I run into him constantly. Stalking sob. Hoping for improvements though!
Gold juice all the way son. I encounter maybe one or two hackers a month and then never see them again. Oh and yeah, Awpteammoose is a total hacker. He be needin' a ban and a good spankin'.
This is a joke right? LazerBlazers do almost no damage. They cant kill anything. In the case of Tank, he has a Deploy Mode that allows him to gain juice very fast when taking damage. All he does is sit in front of the turret, deploy, and gets full juice in 5 seconds. For the rest of the cast, just taunt in front of the LazerBlazer and they get a lot of juice. So you have just answered your own question as to why they are juicing so much. If you think it is hacking, try it yourself. And by the way, NEVER build LazerBlazer turrets. They are so helpful to the other team I actually leave them standing when I go on a juice rampage, and I tell my team not to kill them also. L. Spiro
