Who made you a better player

Pretty self explanatory, did you have an enemy who you wanted to beat so bad that you would step your game up or just saw another player doing great things which pushed you to be better?

Mine was an enemy; Sigmar was and is the best sniper to play this game in his prime. He owned me in like every game we played for like a month and taunting and rage mail were plentiful in this rivalry but as we kept playing eventually i figured him out and was able to beat him and surpass him. After that rivalry i became a much smarter player.

Well not as sniper i was assault and after i while i rlly had no trouble with him, plus he stopped caring or trying lol

DeadEye and TheDude. Even before I discovered the community and stuff, I'd always run into their lobbies. Of course, back then I was trying to slayer-assassin instead of pushing bots, so figuring out how to get kills with Deadeye's clawing gunner was a bitch.

It would be a long time after getting beat up by them so much that I would truly understand how to win games with assassin, but playing against the two of them so much taught me how to escape from any shitty situation as the assassin, which would pretty much be my specialty down the road in the competitive scene.

you play 1 class which is assault and it took you months to figure out how to counter a sniper?

protip: press y to glitch out of ice traps and x to throw bombs at sniper

dont get me wrong i got my kicks going assault vs sigmar just as much as the next guy but to even consider it a fair match up is asinine..

Realistically Josh, I recall your "former" playstyle very well and can't understand how you would know a thing about PP's gameplay from your own spawn room. Not trolling, just making a point.

Lol i stayed in the spawn cuz i had no good ppl to play with, but now i do so i dont get camped by 2-3 dudes with juice waiting for me specifically to come out so they can use it on me. Im not on mnc to build other ppls streaks

I completely understand the mentality, I used to do that myself. It seems you missed my point though, and that was if you're stuck in your spawn room or urine the back of your base GLing bots for juice because you're getting rolled by another player who is pushing forward (and VERY SELDOM plays in a party), you really can't say much about your opponents playstyle.

sigmar was good but he had a good amount of "meh" performances to go along with his crazy headshots. i never bought into the "im good when im trying and not good when im not trying" bullsh!t, seriously that line died out faster than MW3 fake care packages will. i still prefer shammas, kckzi, or zatchmo as my sniper bc they are alot smarter with crowd control and alot more consistant, and have some pretty flashy moments of their own.

the private match community in general made me better. i was always told this game was about one class specializing and its good to be great at one than good all around. i felt otherwise and where i may be known for one or two classes i feel i kept up with the best on all of them. in terms of rivals per class i had my best battles class vs class with teapot's assault, zatchmo's sniper, tom's gunner, yan's tank, and surprisingly hawkshade's assassin. no other assassin really gave me any trouble and i could outsmart them time and time again, but his bot awareness was very good and one of the extreme few who will pass up a kill to maintain the upper hand in bots.

Realistically I've never had a rival or someone I strive to be better than. I will say this, for those of you dumb f*ckers that ever said I was one of the best Supports, I only really got to that laughable level because when I listened to what Chron told me to do, our team outslayed Miracle's team and we pulled a win. After that game I understood how playing Support the right way was crucial to being a part of a winning team.

Yeah ur right i guess my anwser would be u then chronicle because it was always difficult/fun going assault v assault with you and i always liked how you seemed to always be on the offense without being to aggressive and getting urself killed. Id like to think i changed my playstyle a little with ur assault in mind. And a little more changes from other players etc etc
