Where did you get your Gamertag?

After my Gamertag has been mistaken for a sandwhich on numerous occasions, I wanted to make a (hopefully troll-less thread)(yes, you too Peachy) thread about where our community gets their gamertags.

Billy Rueben, or actually known in the medical field as Bilirubin, is "a brownish yellow substance found in bile. It is produced when the liver breaks down old red blood cells. Bilirubin is then removed from the body through the stool and gives stool its normal brown color." -webmd.com It is pronounced exactly the same way as Billy Rueben, which is why I think it is a funny gamertag.

Also, I'm curious as to where Tom12121112, Im Hudson, Manuoso, and Shammas get their names from, so post up.

My GT sums me and my gaming habits up perfectly. I LOVE racing, particularly stock car racing (NASCAR!), and have done some racing myself in the past. Racing games are my main forte as well. If it's got wheels on it, I'll take it! N420N (Nason) is my last name/nickname, and I loooove my pot lol ...

I got called Racin' Nason a lot when I was younger, and my initials when switched around are R A C N no joke lol... Purely coincidence as my parents aren't big race fans or anything.... I thought about going with R A C N N420N but I figured it was too confusing lol

Basically I came up with a random word spelled in the oddest way possible.

I get a lot of people that think this video, was my inspiration, but while I came up with the name right around the time the video came out, it was actually sometime long after before I ever saw or even heard of the video.

Ok so you guys might like how I came about to my current Gamertag.

Long ago before there was XBox I was known as "Stretchnutz." How I acquired that nickname is a bit to raunchy to explain on these board so if you really want to know just PM me. No, it is not from an ICP song. It was only natural that it also became my tag.

I had XBox Live since it's 2nd year out, 2003, and just a couple years ago Microsoft sent me a message saying my Gamertag had offensive text within it. So that was a good 10 years going by Stretchnutz. I sat around all of that day trying to figure out a new tag. one of my buddies made a joke about how Stretchnutz was dead. By then most people called me Stretch so it fit perfectly. Dead Stretch. At first I was like "Man that sucks, I'm not Stretchnutz anymore." After awhile Dead Stretch grew on me so I changed all my usernames to it.

I used to go by Otakuzaku back in the day, since I was into anime back then. (Bonus nerd points if you get which anime from the GT) Had that for about 1-3 years, I forget exactly how long. But random people kept giving me crap about it and since I couldn't reach through the TV and punch their lights out, I decided to change my tag once my XBL expired.

Had a sit down with a thesaurus, trying to find something original and with 15 characters. I wanted something that sounded aggressive, but was neutral at the same time, so people couldn't give me crap about it. Hostile came first and then Paradox since I always liked that word. Thus was born: Hostile Paradox

I've only ever seen 1 or 2 GTs that were similar, so I think it's fairly original.

Haven't had this discussion in a good while, heh. Came up with this in 2002 for GameFAQs and have been using it everywhere since then.


I spent about half an hour coming up with it. The criteria I had in mind were pretty specific.

• Must be absolutely unique, zero chance of requiring numbers thrown onto it.
• Must be as neutral and innocuous as possible.
• Must have some crazy symbolism.
• Meaningful non-English would be a plus.

Wandrian is obsolete English, equivalent to "wandering" or "wanderer" now. Wvlf is an archaic form of wolf obviously(the thought: "hurr-durr wolves are kinda cool"), with a V tossed in as another throwback to archaic forms of English and Latin. At the time I had no idea what a furry was so now I do regret the second half of my name a little bit XD

But I shan't be changing it. It's special to me

Mine is simple, Manouso is my first name. Pronounced "Ma-New-So"
I'm half Greek and this was my grandfather's name so it became mine.

That is simultaneously the most disgusting/awesome gt now that I know what it is.

I had a number of gamertags from 2 month accounts over the years, and I was part of the original knifing/ninja defuse craze in COD4 (back when it took considerably more skill to knife).

My issue was that between my joke knifing gamertags and my serious tag (ShadowHendrix) I had people who met me at different times call me different names. (Shadow, Knife, Hendrix, and Hudson [actual name]). It would get very confusing in large parties.

Finally, I got fed up with it in a MW2 lobby with my friends and said brb. I returned with the gamertag I wear today.

Zander still calls me knife a lot.

BDC = BigDaddyCool. On a wrestling site I named myself after Big Daddy Cool Diesel because Big Lazy is the greatest of all wrestlers.

Jacko comes from back in the day we did an e-fed and I named my wrestler Jacko. I combined them to make my hotmail account and it has been bdcjacko ever since.

I've gone by three had zander star ever sense the first day xboxlive came on. was part of my middle name(bet you cant guess it)WOW. As time went on i changed it to acilies xATWx(o the days of my youth) i relizes achilies has an H, it was purposely done A-sillyez. then i left for basic came back and used a free mounth as Barneys Hole. yeah i did it. pink dino in her oooo nvm. then back to the origeeeenal.

Dude, Kevin Nash is absolutely one of my favorite people in wrestling.

He sucks AT the actual wrestling part, but he is hilariously entertaining on a microphone and in interviews.

He did this one video talking about how he was hammered during a spring break show with Scott Hall, and it is legitimately one of the greatest "road stories" I've ever heard.
