Heck its been a little while and my name had to change...
Where did all the players go?

Me ... I went to gotham city and got me a shredder and a jetpack and some missiles. It's odd seeing me getting over 80 assissts in a game too. But I can do it

not too long ago I ran into xBeatdown187x or whatever his name was. Never played against him but got matched up with him and remember him from a long time ago. Seemed like your typical above average skilled assault player..

same thing with Xx Ghost 7x or whatever.

Most moved on to SMNC, or just gave up on the MNC franchise. New members wouldn't stick around. Can't blame 'em, the 360 community treated new members like crap.

I played Diablo 3 for a while, until that game kept getting changed.
I am checking out Mechwarrior Online, but I have serious reservations about F2P games.
I also picked up a PS3 - Heavy Rain is a REALLY good game, but it was done in about two nights. Other PS3 titles have their moments, but MNC 360 is still my fave.

And yes, some members of the 360 community do treat people like crap, particularly the PM part of it. People have been trying to get better about that; existing members are making the effort (i.e., we will teach you to play in a way that may or may not be more fun, but will at least help you understand what is expected) and now the newer people need to step up (i.e., take people up on the offer).

The 360 community treated new and players of varying skill levels better than any other shooter community i have ever been a part of. Other community top players wont even spit in your direction without money, microsoft points, or having jumped through hoops to "prove" you were worth playing with them. Yes our community is much smaller than most, but in MNC's prime we still had more than enough good and proven players interested to fill lobbies without resorting to new or unexperienced players, but we included them anyway.

Most conflict came from newer or less talented players running their mouths or saying we were wrong about our views on the game despite the success of the PM meta vs other ideas, strategy, builds, etc, and just refusing to listen. When one players blatant disregard for listening and teamwork ruins an entire PM's competitive value, its frustrating.

Case in point - when a support does not want to leash the gunner, using the rationale of "you are wasting a position" since the support just holds down RT and doesn't really use the rest of his options. They don't take into account that by NOT leashing the gunner they waste TWO positions.

And to prevent this from derailing into a support discussion, all vets ever wanted from newcomers was to focus on the gunner, not zero in on it with blinders. Awareness plays a huge part in support and things like firebase placement, airstrike use, healing other teammates, using the shotgun, or even healing a base turret if it was the difference in approaching bots getting in or not on a trap, were all potential actions and responsibilities of a support ALONG with keeping focus on your gunner and attention to his surroundings to know when to leash him. Supports who focused on gunner second and everything else first or not at all on the gunner were the ones who took heat and often cried that we were unfair, despite several efforts to point them in the right direction politely

Haha! I remember that guy! He was the one I tested my (at that time) newest pub strategy on. I fell into a lobby that was already a lost cause for my team and just let this guy do what he wanted. He juice rushed my team relentlessly while I sat back eating my spaghetti-o's.

Post-game, I waited for the matchmaking and sure enough he was on the other team. I decided to send him a message saying "Buckle up." Then I proceeded to mop the floor with him and his team. I went something like 36-2 and he was somewhere around 17-12. Of course I let him have his dignity by winning in OT, but there was a host migration before the game gave me my payout.

    Memories.

Yeah I wish I got to play against him because I saw him just wrecking all these low levels as an assault. There was one other decent player on the enemy team who I could see was giving him a run for his money.

Agressive against bad people and sat in the base against decent people.

I actually got a match scheduled against Hiiitimes, Deadeye, Himicane, Patch of Blue, Sigmar, umadebro smokez

Moved to GCI. Got tired of playing a dead end game. Have a 1.74 kd on it and have beat some of the top MNC guys that I noticed. Surprised people still play this. Just came to check out if anything is new.
